Travel tips
Winter Iceland Tips Clothing (Warmth, Waterproof, Windproof, Lightweight) Iceland's environment is quite different from what many people are familiar with. Located in a polar climate with changeable weather, especially with many storms in winter, the temperature can suddenly drop to several degrees below zero when it gets windy or rainy in winter, so a down jacket is essential. When preparing clothing, first consider warmth, and it is best to choose something that is also windproof and waterproof. Iceland is windy all four seasons. Wear a hat and scarf to protect your head and neck from the cold; gloves are also indispensable. Sunglasses or goggles can effectively reduce the damage to your eyes from snow glare and strong winds. Clothing suggestions: First layer: a complete set of lightweight thermal base layers (thermal top and bottoms); quick-dry ski wear is also a good choice; Second layer: fleece jacket and lightweight down liner jacket; Third layer: down jacket or soft-shell/hard-shell waterproof and windproof parka or ski wear are all fine. Pay attention to layerability for easy adjustment. Vibrant colors look better in photos. Shoes: If possible, bring outdoor hiking boots (mid or high top), which effectively keep you warm, dry, non-slip, and protect your ankles. Swimwear: Blue Lagoon hot spring requires swimwear. Some hotels offer free communal hot water bathing (similar to a small hot spring). Be sure to bring your swimsuit. Payment: You do not need a lot of cash. Apart from optional paid activities, 100 euros per person is sufficient. Credit card: Strongly recommended. Most local shops, restaurants, convenience stores, public transport, and taxis accept credit cards, including public toilets (if you have a credit card, you don't need to carry Icelandic krona cash).

Reykjavík - Snæfellsnes - Reykjavík
Itinerary details
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in western Iceland. The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is often called the "Iceland in Miniature" because it features a variety of Iceland's signature landscapes, allowing you to fully appreciate the beauty of Iceland in a single day. First, we visit 【Kirkjufell (Church Mountain, also known as Hat Mountain)】. As one of the most beloved photography landmarks on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, the origin of its name "Church Mountain" is obvious from its shape. Next, we head to the 【Lóndrangar sea stacks cliff】, where giant basalt columns stand proudly on the coast, showcasing the awe-inspiring craftsmanship of Iceland's volcanic rock formations. After the visit, we arrive at the fairytale-like 【seaside village of Arnarstapi】, where you can enjoy lunch while admiring the scenery. Then we visit the black wooden church of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, the 【Búðakirkja (Black Church)】. The black church and the surrounding snow-capped mountains and waterfalls create a striking contrast, giving a sense of being secluded from the world. After the tour, return to your hotel in Reykjavík to check in.

Reykjavík - Golden Circle - Kerið Crater Lake - Southern Towns
Itinerary details
Starting from Reykjavík in the morning, we will visit the three major attractions of the Golden Circle as well as the lesser-known Kerið crater lake. Þingvellir National Park is the only site on the Icelandic mainland certified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and it is also the former site of Iceland's ancient parliament. Geysir: each eruption lasts about 1–2 minutes before gradually subsiding; this process repeats continuously and is very spectacular. Gullfoss (Golden Falls) has two tiers, with powerful mist roaring down and flowing into the valley. Under sunlight, the water droplets sprayed by the waterfall refract a rainbow, shining with a golden luster, which is how the waterfall got its name. We will also visit Kerið crater lake (included in the cost), famous for its green water and colorful crater slopes. Kerið crater formed during a volcanic eruption about 3,000 years ago and has a perfectly inverted cone shape. Overnight stay in a town in the south. *If weather conditions permit, the Northern Lights may be visible near the hotel that night.

Southern Village - Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon - Blue Ice Cave or Glacier Lagoon Boat Tour - Southern Village
Itinerary details
After breakfast, we visit 【Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon】 and the 【Diamond Beach】. On sunny days, sunlight shining on the ice blocks on the beach refracts into sparkling light, as dazzling as shining diamonds. Depending on the weather and timing, you may also join the 【Blue Ice Cave Adventure】 (optional extra cost, arranged only between October and April). On the way to the ice cave, we will cross ever-changing glacier landscapes, admiring deep crevasses and incredible ice layers. After glacier hiking, we arrive at the mysterious blue ice cave (the cave visited varies each time depending on actual conditions). The cave forms naturally, and its shape differs every year, which is part of its charm. During the summer (May–September), when the blue ice caves melt, we arrange a 【glacier lagoon boat tour】 (fee included). Afterwards, we head to a hotel in a southern town. *If weather conditions permit, the Northern Lights may be visible near the hotel that night. Recommended activities ★ 3-hour Blue Ice Cave Adventure €160 (includes transportation + English-speaking guide + glacier equipment + safety gear) Explore one of Iceland's most stunning natural wonders and embark on an adventure into the mysterious blue ice cave within Vatnajökull National Park. Starting from the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, you'll ride a super jeep into the rugged wilderness of Vatnajökull National Park. During the roughly 30-minute drive, you can enjoy Iceland's magnificent natural scenery. Upon reaching the glacier, the guide will provide the necessary safety equipment and lead you into the dreamlike, crystal-clear blue ice cave. It is a photographer's paradise, where the translucent blue ice and surreal scenery offer countless opportunities for stunning photos. You will explore this natural masterpiece for about 30 minutes, immersed in the magical charm of the blue ice cave. Afterwards, you'll ride the super jeep again along a scenic route back to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, bringing this unforgettable adventure to a perfect close.

Day 11
Southern Village - Vík - South Coast Scenery - Reykjavik
Itinerary details
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to the [Lava Field Eldhraun], a lava flow formed by a volcanic eruption, passing through the small town of [Vík í Mýrdal] at the southern tip of Iceland's main island. On the hilltop of this town stands a small red-roofed church, charming and romantic. The next stop is the famous [Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach] on the south coast, where the basalt columns on the beach are also a prime location for spectacular photos. Afterward we will visit the [DC-3 Plane Wreck], which has an apocalyptic atmosphere. You may optionally choose to take a [shuttle bus] or an optional [ATV off-road vehicle] to get there. Although the plane wreck resulted from an aviation accident, since no one was killed or injured, it has become a distinctive man-made landscape. The aircraft fuselage, weathered by wind and sand over the years, is gradually decaying, yet it has taken on a desolate beauty. We then drive to the two major southern waterfalls, [Seljalandsfoss] and [Skógafoss], to experience the magnificent yet gentle scenery of the south. Do not forget to view the waterfalls from different angles to enjoy their unique beauty. After the tour, return to Reykjavik and check in at the hotel. Recommended Options (choose one) ★ Option 1: Shuttle Bus to and from the Plane Wreck [€25] Explore the plane wreck by shuttle bus. The full route is 4 km; walking takes nearly 2 hours, while a one-way shuttle ride takes only 10-15 minutes, saving you time. ★ Option 2: 2-Hour ATV Off-Road Adventure to Black Sand Beach + Plane Wreck [€169] Set off on a quad bike adventure at the foot of the Myrdalsjökull glacier. Experience views of black sand deserts, the Atlantic Ocean and tranquil valleys. Ride across the majestic black sand plains of Sólheimasandur, pass through this desert-like landscape, and stop in front of the DC3 aircraft that crashed here in 1973. Duration: 2 hours. Price includes 2 people per ATV, an English-speaking guide, a thermal jumpsuit, a helmet and a windproof face mask. All drivers must hold a valid driver's license and be at least 17 years old.

Registration Notice and Liability Terms of VIAJES FH
To best protect your interests, please carefully read our company's "Registration Notice and Liability Terms." The "Registration Notice and Liability Terms" are important matters notified to outbound tour group members by our company and, together with our company's "Overseas Travel Safety Notice and Other Precautions," form part of the travel contract. Our company reserves all rights of interpretation regarding the content of this website.
(1) Registration Process and Precautions
For all bookings made through this website, please carefully read in advance all terms published on our company website, in your order confirmation and in the group departure notice. Once you submit your order, our company will consider that you have confirmed and fully agreed to the terms we have published. If a group member violates the rules mentioned in the terms, all consequences shall be borne by that member.
1. When registering, please first complete the booking form on the website. Carefully fill in and verify all information, including name, gender, ID number, contact details, required room type, and pick-up/drop-off points. The company is not responsible for any losses arising from incorrect information entered by individuals. As tourist bus seats are limited, the company will prioritize boarding based on payment receipt. Please arrange payment within the valid order period after verifying all details. Those who have not paid the full group fee by the deadline will be automatically treated as withdrawn from the group, and our company has the right to cancel your order without further notice.
2. Group members must ensure that 100% of the tour fee is paid more than five working days before the group departs. Due to limited seats on tourist coaches and hotel room allocations, and because hotel bookings often have time limits, members who register within five working days before departure must actively and promptly complete payment; otherwise, the company reserves the right to hold or cancel such bookings depending on the specific circumstances, without prior consent from the registrant. Any handling fees incurred regardless of the payment method shall be borne by the payer. After payment, please send the payment proof (the bank counter transfer slip or a screenshot of the successful online transfer confirmation) to our company by email or fax. The proof must include the corresponding order number, otherwise the finance department cannot match the payment to the order. If the tour fee has not been received 2 days before the group ends due to late payment, the company has the right to require the group member to deposit the corresponding tour fee in cash with the tour guide. If, after verification, a duplicate payment is confirmed, our company will immediately refund the excess tour fee.
3. After our company confirms receipt of the group member's payment, we will confirm the member's participation in the tour. Three days before departure, group members will receive a boarding notice at the email address provided during registration, containing reference information such as the tour guide, itinerary, and pick-up and drop-off points. Due to network delays or spam filters, a group member may not receive the boarding notice three days before departure. If this happens, please contact the relevant staff proactively for assistance.
4. Our company by default arranges hotel room types according to the requirements given by group members at registration. In special circumstances, such as insufficient rooms at certain hotels during peak tourist season or other uncontrollable reasons, room types may change, and group members must cooperate with our arrangements. If on-site room arrangements do not meet a participant's requirements due to an incorrect gender or room type entered at registration, our agency will coordinate and arrange according to the rooms available on the day of hotel check-in, and any additional costs incurred shall be borne by the group member.
5. If a group member needs to leave the tour midway due to special circumstances, they must notify us proactively at the time of registration or before joining the tour and sign a "Mid-Tour Departure Statement." For early departure, a deduction of 16 euros will be made for each hotel night not stayed; if no hotel night is cut short, no tour fee reduction will be granted. If a group member requests to leave midway during the tour, they must proactively inform the tour guide and sign a "Mid-Tour Departure Statement," and the fees paid will not be refunded. Group members must provide truthful information regarding their health, identity, and other matters during registration and throughout the itinerary, fill in relevant materials honestly, and complete legal procedures. Expenses and losses arising from personal reasons such as physical discomfort during the trip shall be borne by the group member themselves. Tourists with special medical histories (for example, those with serious illnesses, terminal illnesses, or infectious diseases) must disclose this truthfully at registration. In view of tourists' health conditions or other reasons, our company reserves the right to decide whether or not to accept them.
6. Travelers aged 70 and above must be accompanied by a family member when registering for the tour and must complete the Tour Participation Declaration. If a traveler without a family member insists on registering, our company has the right to refuse acceptance depending on the circumstances. All consequences arising from a traveler's own reasons during the trip shall be borne by the traveler;
7. If a traveler is pregnant, this must be truthfully declared at registration. In principle, pregnant women more than 24 weeks along are not recommended to join the tour; if they insist on registering, they must be accompanied by a family member and complete the Disclaimer, although our company has the right to refuse acceptance depending on the circumstances. Those less than 24 weeks pregnant who insist on registering must be accompanied by a family member and complete the Tour Participation Declaration, although our company has the right to refuse acceptance depending on the circumstances. All consequences arising from a traveler's personal reasons during the trip shall be borne by the traveler.
8. Minors may join the tour only when accompanied by at least one adult who fulfills guardianship duties and is responsible for the minor's safety. During the trip, all consequences caused by the minor's own reasons or by the accompanying person's negligence in supervision shall be borne by the group member.
9. Group members must confirm that all tour registration information provided is accurate, with personal identification information and contact phone numbers being particularly important. Any consequences caused by incorrect information provided by members (for example, inability to cross the border due to an expired passport or a visa type that does not meet the entry tourism regulations of the relevant country, or the tour leader and other related staff being unable to contact the participant because of an incorrect mobile phone number provided) shall be borne by the participant, including personal return costs, transportation fees, travel expenses and other losses.
9. Registrants must not book any flights or various train or bus tickets related to the registered itinerary on their own before the order is confirmed for participation. If a member books flights or tickets related to the itinerary based on personal intention but ultimately fails to register successfully, all losses shall be borne by the registrant.

If cancelled or changed 8-14 days before departure (including the 14th day), this company will charge a 30% rebooking fee on the receivable amount of the registration order;
0-7 days before departure (including day 7), once vehicle and hotel reservations have all been confirmed and cannot be changed, our company will not refund the travel fees you have paid.
*The receivable amounts include the basic group fee and the surcharge for single room occupancy.
Additionally: Without withdrawing from the tour, free cancellation and room upgrade modifications are available up to 7 days before departure; cancellations and modifications within 7 days are not possible. Train tickets can be cancelled and rescheduled before issuance; after issuance, a 5 euro fee applies for rescheduling and a 10 euro fee for refunds. Once tickets are collected, cancellation and rescheduling are not possible, and the company will not refund any train ticket fees paid.
[Note]:
If group members cannot join the tour on time due to special circumstances, they may reschedule for a future tour; the rescheduling terms are as described above.
If a group member suddenly withdraws during the trip or does not participate in any group activity (such as meals or sightseeing), they must personally complete and sign the "Mid-Tour Withdrawal Statement" provided by our company, and the fees paid will not be refunded.
In all of the above situations, written notice shall be the basis; otherwise, it will be deemed an automatic waiver, and the company assumes no responsibility.
(4) Obligations of Group Members
1. Group members shall not engage in any illegal activities during the trip.
2. Group members, when exercising their rights, shall not harm the interests of the state, society, the collective, or the legal rights and interests of others.
3. Observe public order and respect social morality. Group members shall respect the dignity of tourism service personnel and respect and assist one another among fellow group members; respect local ethnic customs and local conditions; strictly prohibit carving or scribbling on scenery or buildings, spitting, littering, and other uncivilized behavior.
4. Strive to learn the knowledge needed for travel and improve self-protection awareness. Group members may choose and purchase personal accident insurance and other insurance for the trip on their own. During the trip, members should properly keep their luggage and belongings; valuables should be carried on the person or other protective measures should be taken.
5. When traveling, please pay attention to local weather conditions and children's safety.
6. When a traveler voluntarily participates in dangerous tourism activities included in a regular travel itinerary, including rock climbing, mountaineering, rafting, diving, bungee jumping and other tourism activities that may cause personal injury to the traveler, any other disputes, property losses or personal injuries arising therefrom shall be borne by the traveler personally, and our company bears no responsibility.
(5) Liability
1. The company reserves the right to change accommodation locations, travel routes, sightseeing spots, and departure dates as circumstances require.
2. If the group size is insufficient, or if there are changes beyond our company's control such as problems with vessels or aircraft, our company reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary. If the itinerary is cancelled, our company will refund in full the fees paid by group members or recommend a similar product as a replacement. Our company shall not be liable for any cancellation of any itinerary.
3. In the event of social unrest, terrorist activities, major infectious disease outbreaks, natural disasters, acts of God, riots, murder, rebellion, war, or other incidents beyond our company's control that may seriously endanger the personal safety of group members, as well as weather, traffic, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances, our company has the right to cancel or replace any tour item before departure or after departure, and also the right to shorten or extend the journey, but group members must be notified in advance. Any additional expenses or losses incurred shall not be the responsibility of our company, and group members may not object or withdraw on such grounds.
4. Since public security conditions vary from country to country, group members should pay attention to personal and traffic safety and properly keep their belongings and luggage. If any loss, theft, robbery, or other loss or damage occurs during the trip, please promptly notify the tour leader and report to the police in time. Our company assumes no legal liability;
5. Group members must carry valid passports and identification documents at all times. Any mid-tour withdrawal caused by problems with identification documents or passports shall be borne by the participant, and the remaining tour fee will not be refunded. If this affects the normal itinerary of other group members, the group member shall bear corresponding compensation liability.
6. If a traveler encounters an accident during the itinerary (such as an accident while participating in entertainment or games, or illness, death, falls or injuries caused by personal activities, or the traveler violates the terms and notices stated in our company's agreement) resulting in personal injury or death or property loss, the related responsibility and expenses shall be borne by the traveler themselves; our company shall not be responsible for such injury, death or property loss. If losses are caused to our company as a result, the traveler shall bear the liability for compensation.
7. If a group member deliberately fails to comply with the rules or interferes with the normal activities and interests of the group, the company's tour leader has the right to cancel the member's participation qualification, and the fees paid will not be refunded. The company is not responsible for any actions of the member after leaving the group.
8. The times indicated in the itinerary are for reference only. Actual arrival times may be delayed due to force majeure such as weather, traffic jams, traffic accidents, holiday events, riots or strikes. We apologize for any inconvenience. If group members need to take other means of transport to other cities after the itinerary, we strongly recommend leaving at least 3 hours of spare time to avoid inconvenience caused by delays. The company is not responsible for losses in self-arranged itineraries caused by members failing to leave sufficient spare time.
