Kaiyuan Frankfurt Tour Guide Training Course (3 Days Online + 2 Days In Person)

Training Focus

As the number of Chinese travelers visiting Europe has grown, demand for Chinese-speaking tourism professionals in Europe has outstripped supply. To meet the needs of the Chinese tourism market and improve the experience of Chinese visitors to Europe, Kaiyuan Germany established a European Chinese-language tour guide training program in 2011. Building on its extensive local tour resources, the program aims to create a professional training center that develops and supplies excellent Chinese-speaking tour guides for the Chinese travel market in Europe. It also aims to provide broader employment opportunities for Chinese residents of Europe and international students. Thanks to its excellent instructors and comprehensive training system, the Kaiyuan tour guide training program has received consistently positive reviews since its launch. In just three years, it has run dozens of classes and trained more than 100 tourism professionals. After passing their graduation assessments, many outstanding trainees have joined Kaiyuan's own tour guide team.

Key Advantages

1. Highly Experienced Instructors

The teaching team includes specially invited industry experts, including dual-degree master's graduates from European universities, distinguished art history scholars, PhDs in philosophy, and Kaiyuan's top tour guides. They nurture talent by combining theory with practical knowledge. Small classes (fewer than 18 people; classes start when at least 6 people enroll) create a positive learning environment and give students more opportunities to learn and exchange ideas. All participants receive exclusive course materials provided by Kaiyuan, jointly written by experienced industry instructors and Kaiyuan's top tour guides. The materials are distinctive, practical, and up to date.

2. Well-Designed Course Schedule

The Kaiyuan European Chinese-language tour guide training program starts a new class every month and has trained more than 100 guides to date. Classes run all day and cover European geography, culture, history, customs, religion, architecture, art, world-famous brands, coach tour commentary, group-leading skills, and other topics, covering all aspects of tour guide theory. A specialist class in practical English for tour guides is also offered to help you build a strong foundation for traveling throughout Europe. After the theoretical classes, trainees must gain practical experience on a tour, ensuring they can put theory into practice.

3. Guaranteed Group Assignments and Plenty of Opportunities to Lead Tours Independently

Kaiyuan Travel is the leading brand for Chinese travelers in Europe, with more than 20 year-round European coach tour itineraries and over 30,000 departures annually. As a full-time Kaiyuan tour guide, you will have access to a wealth of tour assignments. Outstanding trainees and contracted guides may also receive priority when tours are assigned! The purpose of the Kaiyuan European Chinese-language tour guide training program is not only to meet the needs of people across Germany who are interested in a career as a tour guide, but also to train excellent guides for Kaiyuan and meet the growing demand for tour guide resources.

4. Professional and Legitimate Operations

Since its launch, the Kaiyuan tour guide training program has received joint support from several local tourism boards in Germany, France, and Switzerland.

Booking Notes and Terms of Responsibility of Our Agency

To protect your interests as much as possible, please read our Booking Notes and Terms of Liability carefully. This document contains important information that our company wishes to bring to the attention of tour members traveling overseas, and, together with our Important Safety Information for Overseas Travel and Other Notes, forms part of the travel contract. We reserve all rights to interpret the content of this website.

(I) Registration Process and Important Notes

If you book through this website, please carefully read all the terms published on our company website, in the order confirmation, and in the tour information notice. By submitting your order, you confirm that you have read and fully agree to the terms published by our company. If any tour participant violates the rules set out in these terms, they shall bear all resulting consequences.

1. When registering, please first complete the booking form on the website. Carefully fill in and check all the information, including names, genders, ID/passport numbers, contact details, required room type, pick-up/drop-off points, and all other details. Our company accepts no liability for any losses resulting from information incorrectly entered by the customer. As seats on the tour bus are limited, we will prioritize pick-up arrangements according to when payment is received. Once you have checked that all information is correct, please arrange payment within the order’s validity period. If the tour fee is not paid in full by the deadline, the booking will be treated as automatically canceled. We reserve the right to cancel your order without further notice.

2. Tour participants must pay 100% of the tour fee at least five business days before departure. As tour bus seats and hotel rooms are limited, and hotel room bookings are often subject to deadlines, participants booking within five business days of departure must promptly complete payment. Otherwise, our agency reserves the right to hold or cancel such bookings as appropriate, without first obtaining the applicant’s consent. The payer is responsible for any fees incurred when paying the tour fee, regardless of the payment method. After payment, please email or fax us proof of payment (the transaction slip for bank-counter transfers or a screenshot of the successful online transfer). Be sure to include the relevant order number in the proof of payment; otherwise, our finance team cannot match the payment to the order. If, due to late payment, the tour fee has still not reached us two days before the tour ends, our agency may require the participant to provide the corresponding amount in cash as a deposit to the tour guide. If subsequent verification confirms a duplicate payment, we will promptly refund the overpaid amount.

3. Our company will confirm a member’s participation once their payment has been received. Three days before departure, members will receive a tour confirmation notice at the email address provided when booking, with details such as the guide, itinerary, and boarding and drop-off points. Due to network delays or spam-filtering, members may not receive the notice three days before departure. If this happens, please contact the relevant staff member for assistance.

4. Our company normally arranges hotel room types according to participants’ requests at the time of booking. In exceptional circumstances, such as during peak travel periods when a particular hotel has insufficient rooms or for other uncontrollable reasons, room types may change, and participants must cooperate with our arrangements. If the room allocation on arrival does not meet a participant’s requirements because they entered the wrong gender or room-type preference when booking, our agency will coordinate and make arrangements based on room availability at the hotel that day. Any additional costs incurred will be borne by the participant.

5. If a participant needs to leave the tour early due to special circumstances, they must inform us at the time of booking or before joining the tour and sign the “Early Departure Declaration.” For each hotel night not used due to early departure, €16 will be deducted; if no hotel night is missed, there will be no reduction in the tour fee. If a participant requests to leave the tour early while it is in progress, they must inform the tour guide and sign the “Early Departure Declaration”; fees paid are nonrefundable. Participants must provide accurate information about their health, identity, and other relevant matters when booking and during the itinerary, complete the required forms truthfully, and fulfill all legal requirements. Participants are responsible for any costs or losses arising from personal reasons, such as feeling unwell during the trip. Visitors with a significant medical history (for example, those with a serious or terminal illness, or a contagious disease) must disclose this truthfully when booking. In view of a visitor’s health or other circumstances, our company reserves the right to decline the booking.

6. Participants aged over 70 must be accompanied by a family member and complete a “Tour Participation Declaration.” If they insist on joining without a family member, our company reserves the right to refuse their booking at its discretion. Participants are responsible for all consequences arising from their own actions during the trip;

7. Pregnant travelers must disclose their pregnancy when booking. As a general rule, participation is not recommended for those more than 24 weeks pregnant. Those who insist on joining must be accompanied by a family member and complete a Liability Waiver, but our company reserves the right to refuse participation depending on the circumstances. Those less than 24 weeks pregnant who insist on joining must also be accompanied by a family member and complete a Participation Declaration, but our company reserves the right to refuse participation depending on the circumstances. Travelers are responsible for all consequences arising from their own actions during the trip.

8. Minors joining the tour must be accompanied by at least one adult who fulfills their duty of care and is responsible for the minor’s safety. Participants are responsible for all consequences arising from a minor’s own actions or from inadequate supervision by their accompanying adult during the trip.

9. Travelers must verify that all information provided for joining the tour is accurate, especially personal identification details and contact phone numbers. Travelers are responsible for any consequences resulting from inaccurate information they provide (for example, being unable to cross a border because a personal travel document has expired or the visa type does not meet the destination country's entry requirements, or tour staff and other relevant personnel being unable to contact a traveler because the mobile phone number provided is incorrect). Any resulting costs or losses, including return travel, transportation, and trip expenses, must be borne by the traveler.

9. Please do not book flights or any other tickets related to the itinerary before your tour booking is confirmed. If you book flights or other tickets related to the itinerary of your own accord but your booking is ultimately unsuccessful, you are responsible for all resulting losses.

1. Tour participants must not engage in illegal activities during the trip.

2. When exercising their rights, group members must not harm the interests of the state, society or the collective, or the lawful rights and interests of others.

3. Observe public order and respect social etiquette. Tour members should respect the dignity of tourism service staff, show mutual respect and assist one another, and respect local ethnic customs and traditions. Do not deface landscapes or buildings, spit, litter, or engage in other uncivilized behavior.

4. Make an effort to learn what you need to know for your trip and strengthen your awareness of personal safety. Tour members may choose and purchase personal accident travel insurance and other insurance at their own discretion. During the trip, keep your luggage and belongings safe, and carry valuables with you or take other protective measures.

5. When traveling, pay attention to the local weather and take care to keep children safe.

6. If a traveler voluntarily takes part in hazardous activities included in a regular tour itinerary, such as rock climbing, mountaineering, rafting, scuba diving, or bungee jumping, which may cause personal injury, the traveler shall be solely responsible for any resulting disputes, property loss, or personal injury, and our company shall bear no liability.

(5) Liability

1. Our company reserves the right to change accommodation, travel routes, places visited, and departure dates as required by specific circumstances.

2. If changes arise beyond our company’s control, such as insufficient numbers of participants or problems with a ship / aircraft, our company reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary. If the itinerary is canceled, our company will refund all fees paid by the members or recommend a similar alternative product. Our company accepts no liability for canceling any itinerary.

3. In the event of civil unrest, terrorist activity, a serious infectious disease outbreak, natural disaster, other disaster, disturbance, murder, riot, war, or other disaster beyond our company’s control that may seriously threaten members’ personal safety, or unforeseen circumstances such as weather, transport disruptions, or strikes, our company reserves the right to cancel or replace any tour activity before or after departure, and to shorten or extend the trip, but must notify members in advance. 6. If a traveler suffers personal injury or death, or loss of property, as a result of an accident during the itinerary (such as an accident while taking part in entertainment or recreational activities, illness, death, or a fall or injury resulting from personal activities, or the traveler’s violation of the provisions or notices set out in our company’s terms), the traveler shall bear all related liability and costs. Our company accepts no responsibility for such injury, death, or loss of property. The traveler shall compensate our company for any losses caused as a result.

7. If a group member deliberately fails to follow the rules or disrupts the normal activities or interests of the group, our tour leader has the right to cancel their participation. Fees paid will not be refunded, and we accept no responsibility for anything the member does after leaving the group.

8. All times indicated in the itinerary are approximate. Actual arrival times may be delayed due to various circumstances beyond our control, such as weather, traffic congestion, traffic accidents, festivals and sporting events, unrest, or strikes. We appreciate your understanding. We accept no responsibility for any losses arising from guests’ own travel arrangements when they have not allowed sufficient spare time.
