Day 2
Philadelphia - Washington, D.C.
Itinerary details
Depart early in the morning and arrive at our first stop, Philadelphia, an old city full of history and stories. We’ll view Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell from the outside, feel the passion of the American Founding Fathers, and hear the story of the Declaration of Independence. Though our stop is brief, it will leave you with memories of the history of America’s founding. At midday, we’ll have lunch in Delaware, the First State, then head straight to Washington, D.C., the nation’s capital. Our first stop will be an inside visit to the U.S. Capitol. This rare and special opportunity will take you into the heart of American power. Take photos in the plaza where presidential inaugural addresses are delivered. After the Capitol, follow Pennsylvania Avenue; it’s just a ten-minute drive to the White House. The white palace, the President’s residence, is a must-see photo stop. We’ll then explore the city, gaze across the Reflecting Pool from the solemn steps of the Lincoln Memorial, and recall the words “I have a dream” and the vision of equality. Stroll along the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, where the names of fallen soldiers are engraved on black granite, and reflect on the weight of war. Cross the Potomac River by vehicle for a close-up view of the Pentagon and the Air Force Memorial. Finally, as the sun sets over the Tidal Basin, end the day beneath the white dome of the Jefferson Memorial.

Day 3
Watkins Glen / Corning Museum of Glass - Niagara Falls
Itinerary details
Depart in the morning for *Watkins Glen, open from May to October. This 20,000-year-old gorge features layered rock formations reaching 400 feet deep and 19 silvery waterfalls flowing from the Finger Lakes. Stroll through and experience the wonders of nature. (In winter, this is replaced by the Corning Museum of Glass, where you can explore a thousand years of glassmaking. Corning, a Fortune Global 500 company with a history of over 150 years, is a leader in specialty glass and ceramic materials. It is home to the world’s largest collection of glass, and Corning glass holds a place in the United States similar to that of Jingdezhen porcelain in China. You can also watch live glassmaking demonstrations. We will also visit the Corning Museum of Glass, the world’s largest museum dedicated to glass, which brings together science, art, and history and invites you to discover the endless possibilities of glass.) After the Corning Museum of Glass, we will arrive in Buffalo, the second-largest city in New York State. This city, marked by both glory and decline, is the starting point of the Erie Canal and the source of the waters that flow to the falls. Let’s climb to the observation tower to take in the grandeur of the Great Lakes and listen closely to the rise and fall of this city. Afterward, we’ll stroll through Buffalo’s Naval Park and trace the glory days of America’s great shipping era. We’ll arrive at Niagara Falls at dusk. One of the world’s three great waterfalls, it is the water of the Thunder God from ancient Indigenous legends. As night falls, join us for an evening visit to Goat Island. Beneath the mist and colorful lights, the falls become a fairy-tale scene found only at night. Finally, follow the evening breeze to Luna Island and end the day with a spectacular fireworks display, available only in summer.

You’ll also hear the heartwarming story of making way for the ducklings in Boston Common. From here, follow Boston’s Freedom Trail*, a red-ribbon-like path connecting 16 historic sites, including Park Street Church, the Granary Burying Ground, the Massachusetts State House with its golden dome, the Old State House, the Old City Hall, Faneuil Hall, and the Boston Massacre Site. This is a spiritual path that led America toward freedom. As you stroll along it, you’ll feel as if you’re walking through the currents of history.
