Itinerary details
Depart Reykjavík in the morning for a two-day adventure exploring Iceland’s awe-inspiring natural landscapes. First, visit 【Seljalandsfoss】 and feel the astonishing spray as the water plunges down before your eyes. Next, head to 【Skógafoss】, famous for its thundering waters and the rainbows that appear in the spray when sunlight hits it. Then visit 【Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach】, where the Atlantic’s mighty waves crash against towering basalt columns that rise abruptly from the sea. The scene is wild and otherworldly, as if entering another world. Along the way, cross vast lava fields, glacier tongues, and windswept coastlines, each landscape more captivating than the last. Arrive in the Skaftafell area that evening for an overnight stay, and enjoy a peaceful night embraced by Iceland’s natural beauty. ※ If weather conditions are suitable, your guide will also take you to an ideal viewing spot to admire the dreamlike Northern Lights! 【No guide information is provided for this itinerary. Skaftafell area - Vík - Reykjavík
Itinerary details
After breakfast, set off for 【Vatnajökull National Park】—home to one of Europe’s largest glaciers and one of Iceland’s most dazzling natural treasures. Our first stop is the breathtaking 【Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon】, where enormous icebergs calve from the glacier and float across the lake in striking shades of blue and white. Some are washed ashore at nearby 【Diamond Beach】, sparkling like dreamlike jewels on the black sand. From May to October, you can also choose to take an 【amphibious boat tour of the glacier lagoon】 (optional, at your own expense) for a closer look at the magnificent floating icebergs and a more immersive adventure! The highlight of the day is exploring a natural 【ice cave】. Formed by the glacier’s natural cycles of melting and refreezing, these caves change shape every year. Step inside and be surrounded by deep blue ice—a perfect setting for photos! We’ll make a brief stop in the charming town of 【Vík】, with magnificent views of the Atlantic and cliffs and black-sand beaches all around. Vík’s iconic red-roofed church, set against rugged mountains, is as captivating as a movie scene. We’ll arrive in Reykjavík at around 9:00 p.m., bringing our two-day Icelandic adventure to a perfect close. Ice cave locations depend on the weather and glacier conditions at the time of your visit: · October to mid-April: The main visit is to the Crystal Ice Cave, located inside Vatnajökull Glacier. If it is inaccessible, we’ll visit another ice cave. · Mid-April to September: Visit the unique Katla Ice Cave, located near the active Katla volcano. If it is inaccessible, we’ll go glacier hiking instead.
