We reserve the right to:

– The icebreaker cruise schedule/content may change due to ice, snow, weather conditions, or other similar force majeure circumstances. If unforeseen severe weather conditions result in the cancellation of the itinerary, we are not liable for any compensation for losses.

– If there are not enough passengers, we reserve the right to cancel the cruise. If the cruise is canceled, passengers may choose an alternative vessel, time, or date, or receive a full refund.

Shuttle bus

Please carefully check the pickup location and time you selected for the icebreaker shuttle bus. Pickup times are always given in the local time of the pickup location.

Time difference

When departing from Finland, please note that Finland is one hour ahead of Sweden. Your ticket will show the departure times in both Finland and Sweden.

Early morning cruise in late November–early December

The cruise operates normally in all ice conditions. However, please note that ice and its thickness cannot be guaranteed until mid-December. If you book an icebreaker cruise in late November or early December, you are understood to accept that the cruise may take place in potentially weaker or “ice-free” conditions. It may not be possible to walk on the ice until early January.

For reference, the following dates are the earliest dates when walking on sea ice is possible:

- 2023: December 3

- 2024: December 19

- 2025: January 3.

These dates are for reference only and do not guarantee future ice conditions.

Swimming activity:

We accept no liability for compensation if the swimming activity is cancelled for safety reasons or due to unforeseeable severe weather.

No refund will be given if you miss the swimming activity for personal reasons (including missing the scheduled time, choosing not to participate, or any other personal circumstance).

Changes and cancellation policy

Payment policy:

Full payment is required at the time of booking. A booking fee of EUR 40 per person will be charged after payment. The EUR 40 booking fee is non-refundable if the booking is canceled at any time. You must rebook at the current price and subject to availability.

Optional cancellation insurance:

At the time of booking, customers can purchase cancellation insurance for EUR 30 per person. This insurance allows customers to cancel their booking free of charge up to 96 hours before the cruise departure date. Please note that cancellation insurance does not cover the EUR 40 booking fee, which is non-refundable. The EUR 30 cancellation insurance fee itself is also non-refundable. Cancellation insurance must be purchased at the time of booking and cannot be added later. (To purchase insurance, select the option when placing your order.)

Standard cancellation policy (excluding cancellation insurance):

For cancellations made 32 days or more before the cruise departure date, the booking fee of €40 per person is non-refundable.

Cancellations made 31 days or fewer before the cruise departure date will incur a charge of 100% of the total price.

If you do not show up, arrive late, or miss the cruise because you missed the shuttle bus, you will be charged 100% of the price.

Change policy:

Rebooking is subject to availability and incurs an additional rebooking fee of EUR 50 per person. Cancellation and rebooking fees apply for any reason, including travel restrictions, medical reasons, or personal circumstances. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any cancellation fees that may arise if you are unable to travel due to health issues or other unforeseen circumstances. Cruise dates and times may be changed at any time, but requests must be made at least 96 hours before the cruise departure. The price of the cruise or cruise package will depend on the cruise you ultimately select. Changes to dates and times are valid only for the cruise departure. Changes requested within 96 hours of departure incur a change fee of EUR 50 per person.

If the cruise date changes or the itinerary is suspended, the cancellation deadline will be calculated from the original booking date.

The cancellation fee cannot be used to purchase any other services.

All cancellations and changes must be submitted in writing, dated, and sent by email during Finnish office hours (08:00-16:00, +2 GMT, Mon-Fri).
