Itinerary details

Seeing the Northern Lights at sea is a magical experience. Sail away from Reykjavik’s coastline and watch the aurora borealis over the North Atlantic, with the city lights in the background—an experience you’ll never forget! Our guide will help you search for the Northern Lights and tell you about the science and myths behind this extraordinary natural phenomenon. The boat is equipped with a speaker system. You can wait in our cafeteria, enjoy a hot drink, or watch our Northern Lights video. When the guide spots the aurora, they’ll announce it over the speaker system, so everyone knows to head outside and look up! Staff take photos during every trip, which everyone can download for free over the following few days. They are also happy to help you take photos, giving you the best chance of capturing the Northern Lights.
