Itinerary details
Depart from the Reykjavík meeting point in the morning and head to the first stop, Borgarfjörður, to visit Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring. It gushes up to 180 liters of boiling water per second at a temperature close to 100°C. Next, visit Sturlureykir Horse Farm, a welcoming geothermal farm where you can get close to Icelandic horses, pet them, and feed them. Then continue to Reykholt, a small village with a long history where the famous medieval writer Snorri Sturluson once lived. Nearby, visit two captivating waterfalls: Hraunfossar, where glacial spring water trickles through cracks in the lava rock, and Barnafoss, a waterfall steeped in local legends. Stay overnight at a countryside hotel on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. After nightfall, if you visit between October and April and the weather is suitable, your guide will check the aurora forecast and lead the group out in search of the Northern Lights. Let’s hope for a spectacular display in the night sky!
Important notes
Please note: Iceland’s unique geographical location means its scenery is spectacular and unusual, and the weather can change quickly. For safety, our experienced senior guides may adjust the itinerary at any time based on actual weather conditions. In extreme weather, attractions may be canceled to ensure guest safety. Day 2
Snæfellsnes - Reykjavík
Itinerary details
After breakfast, explore the scenic Snæfellsnes Peninsula in western Iceland, often called “Iceland in Miniature” because it brings together glaciers, volcanoes, lava fields, black-sand beaches, and rugged coastlines in one place. First, visit Djúpalónssandur Beach, once a thriving fishing village and now a peaceful beach covered in black pebbles. Take a short coastal walk as the waves of the Atlantic crash nearby. Then head to Kirkjufell, Iceland’s most photogenic mountain, and the waterfall beside it. You can also choose to visit Vatnshellir Lava Cave (optional, at an additional cost). Put on a helmet, take a flashlight, and follow your guide deep into this 8,000-year-old lava tube to explore the mysterious traces of volcanic activity. This is the very gateway to the center of the Earth imagined by Jules Verne in Journey to the Center of the Earth. Lunch is usually arranged in the seaside village of Hellnar. Afterwards, continue to explore attractions including Arnarstapi and its wave-sculpted cliffs. Return to a hotel near Reykjavík in the evening. From October to April, your guide will keep monitoring the aurora forecast. If conditions are right, you may have a chance to see the Northern Lights illuminating the night sky!

Day 3
Reykjavík - South Coast - Vík - Hof
Itinerary details
After breakfast, set off along the South Coast to explore some of Iceland’s most breathtaking natural scenery. First, visit the famous Seljalandsfoss and feel the spray as the water cascades before your eyes. Then head to Skógafoss, known for its thundering flow and rainbows that appear when sunlight catches the mist. Next, visit Reynisfjara, where the mighty waves of the Atlantic crash against towering basalt columns and strange rock formations rise abruptly from the sea. The wild, otherworldly scenery feels like stepping into another world. Along the way, cross vast lava fields, glacier tongues, and windswept coastlines, with every vista more captivating than the last. Pass through the charming coastal village of Vík before reaching your hotel in Hof. If weather conditions are suitable in winter (October to April), we’ll look for the Northern Lights again.

Day 4
Hof - Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon - Diamond Beach - Reykjavík
Itinerary details
After breakfast, visit the extraordinary Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, a filming location for numerous movies, including Batman Begins and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Many natural ice sculptures wash up on the nearby black-sand beach, where the glacier’s crystal-clear ice contrasts strikingly with the dark pebbles, sparkling like diamonds in the sunlight. This is how Diamond Beach got its name. Next, accompanied by a professional guide, venture deep into a glacier to explore Iceland’s natural ice caves. These caves form anew each year through melting and freezing, making every visit unique. If conditions allow, enter the Crystal Ice Cave or another natural ice cave in Vatnajökull, and step into a dreamlike world of ice. In summer, the visit will instead be to Katla Ice Cave in Mýrdalsjökull, another astonishing cave with deep blue walls and breathtaking formations. We expect to return to Reykjavík between 21:00 and 23:00. The exact time depends on the weather and road conditions.
Important notes
Please note: 1. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and sightings cannot be guaranteed. Depending on the weather and aurora activity, they may be visible from October to April. 2. Ice caves are naturally formed and change with the seasons. The cave you visit on this trip depends on the weather conditions at the time, so we will choose the cave that is most accessible on your travel date.
