Itinerary details
Set off on an Arctic adventure! Climb to a local summit and take in the magnificent views. Visit local reindeer and husky farms and enjoy a sled ride. Head to Santa Claus Village to meet Santa and receive an adventurer’s certificate commemorating your crossing of the Arctic Circle. Departure time: Between 08:00 and 09:00 Duration: 6 hours Explore Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, and experience life in the Arctic Circle! First, you’ll visit a husky and reindeer farm. If snow conditions permit, you can enjoy a short ride in a sled pulled by energetic huskies, then relax on a short reindeer-drawn sled ride through beautiful natural scenery. Next comes the highlight of the tour—meeting Rovaniemi’s most iconic figure: Santa Claus! You’ll visit Santa Claus Village, explore its charming polar-themed shops, meet Santa in person, and receive a certificate commemorating your crossing of the Arctic Circle. The village is also home to the official Santa Claus Post Office, where you can ask the elves to help you send postcards bearing a special postmark to your family and friends. Finally, you’ll visit the Arctic Circle Museum (Arktikum) to discover all about the Arctic. Its permanent exhibitions cover Arctic wildlife, Sámi Indigenous culture, and local history from the Ice Age to the present day. You can also explore the causes of the Northern Lights and related exhibits, making your trip even more enriching and memorable.
