Set off on an unforgettable snowmobile adventure and explore the breathtaking Arctic wilderness surrounding Camp Tamok. Led by professional guides, this expedition takes you across pristine snowy landscapes that are inaccessible by other means of transport, offering a unique way to experience the beauty of the Norwegian Arctic. Your snowmobile adventure begins with a comfortable 90-minute bus transfer from central Tromsø to the remote Tamokdalen Valley, where our wilderness camp is located. Upon arrival, experienced guides will welcome you and provide thermal clothing, boots, and gloves to keep you warm and comfortable in the Arctic winter. Before setting off, you’ll receive a thorough safety briefing on how to operate a snowmobile. Follow your guide along picturesque Arctic trails past snow-covered peaks, frozen rivers, and peaceful valleys. Each snowmobile is shared by two people, and you and your companion will take turns driving and riding. There will be a break along the way to switch drivers and admire the stunning scenery around you. After your Arctic snowmobile adventure, return to camp and relax in a traditional Sámi tent (lavvu). Enjoy a hot meal and drinks by the campfire, and share stories of your adventure with your fellow travelers. During peak season, we may split the group in two to ensure a more intimate experience. One group will start their tour after dining inside the tent. Important notes 1. Each snowmobile driver can pay a €30 waiver surcharge to reduce their liability to NOK 1,000. 2. Solo snowmobile surcharge option: If you want to ride alone and do not wish to share a snowmobile with another person, an additional fee applies. Select the solo-rider option. 3. This activity requires good physical fitness and the ability to comfortably drive a snowmobile over long distances across challenging terrain. 4. Speed will be reduced on some sections due to the rugged terrain. 5. The snowmobile activity duration (the time you spend driving a snowmobile on the trails) may vary depending on snow and weather conditions. 6. To ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, our staff reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone who poses a safety risk, including but not limited to anyone who is intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or behaving unsafely. 7. Evening departure: This tour is not primarily intended to chase the Northern Lights, but it does offer you the chance to admire this natural wonder.
