Itinerary details

Your tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Kirkenes (available on request), or directly from the ski resort. In the changing room behind Låven, your guide will provide warm clothing and safety instructions before taking you out by snowmobile. After a short snowmobile ride, you’ll help pull up the crab pot, take photos with your catch, and learn about the biology and history of king crabs in Northern Norway. After returning to the ski resort, your guide will take you to Teina, a unique king crab restaurant, where your catch will be prepared. The king crab is served Northern Norwegian style, with bread, butter, mayonnaise, and lemon. Drinks such as wine, beer, or mineral water are available for purchase at the restaurant. After your meal, your driver will safely take you back to your hotel in Kirkenes.

As catching them can be challenging, you’ll also need a bit of luck!
