Itinerary details
Take a bus from downtown Tromsø to begin an exciting journey. After a relaxing 95-minute trip through the Arctic mountains and fjords, you will arrive in the remote wilderness around Tamokhuset. Upon arrival, you will be divided into two groups. The first group will put on the necessary gear, including thermal suits, boots, and gloves, to stay warm and comfortable during the dog sledding experience ahead. After getting ready and receiving the necessary instructions on how to drive the sled, they will set off on their dog sledding adventure. Meanwhile, the other group will visit the kennel, enjoy a hot meal and drinks, and listen to fascinating stories about our huskies. After relaxing at the camp for a while, they will also put on the necessary gear and receive instructions to prepare for their upcoming dog sledding adventure! When the first group returns from their sledding trip, the groups will switch places. The other group will then set off on their adventure, while the first group can relax at the camp, enjoy hot food and drinks, visit the kennel, and learn more about our huskies. After the second group returns from their sledding trip, everyone will board the bus again and return to Tromsø. △Duration: 6.5 hours Daytime departure: 09:30 – 16:00 △Difficulty level: Moderate △Important notes: 1. Driving your own dog sled requires physical strength and good health. Participants must be reasonably fit. 2. Minors may not participate in this activity alone and must be accompanied by an adult【When multiple children participate, the corresponding number of adults must accompany them】. Children must be 7–11 years old to participate. 3. Some parts of the route may be covered in fresh snow or involve uphill sections, which means you will need to help the dogs push and pull the sled in either case. 4. The route may be narrow and have sharp turns, so you will need good balance to steer the sled. 5. As you will switch places on the sled with another guest, both participants must meet these requirements. 6. For health and safety reasons, our guides reserve the right to refuse participation to drivers and passengers who do not meet the requirements. For the safety and comfort of all guests, our staff reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone who poses a safety risk, including but not limited to guests who are intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or behaving inappropriately. 7. Cancellations due to weather: To ensure guest safety, severe weather may result in the tour being cancelled, although this is unlikely. If this happens, we will offer you the option to reschedule for another location or time, choose an alternative product, or receive a full refund. 8. Please let us know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when booking so our team can prepare accordingly.
