Itinerary details
09:00-10:00 Your guide will meet you at the Galeria Plaza Reforma hotel and take you to 【Xochimilco】, known as Mexico’s “Venice” 10:00-11:30 Xochimilco: Experience the ancient Aztec tradition of life on the water in an ecological park. This is where Mexico City's urban transport began, and the waterways bear witness to the city's commercial and agricultural development. During our approximately one-hour boat trip, accompanied by the lilting melodies of mariachi, Mexico's traditional folk music, we'll experience the unique charm of the “Venice of Mexico.” We'll also disembark to visit the flower nurseries of the “Land of Flowers.” After our boat trip, immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of Latin America, we'll visit the National Autonomous University of Mexico. 12:00-12:45 Founded in 1551, the National Autonomous University of Mexico is the oldest and largest comprehensive university in Mexico and Latin America, and one of the largest institutions of higher education in the world. As Mexico's leading university, it has brought the artistic creations of world-renowned painters such as Juan O'Gorman onto campus. The unpretentious style of Indigenous art, combined with dazzling Romantic and Realist techniques, makes the enormous murals on the building façades striking and vibrant, with a powerful visual impact. Numerous classical, medieval, and Renaissance sculptures complement the modern architecture, adding a rich cultural atmosphere to the campus. The passion flowing through Mexican veins is boldly expressed in dazzling colors and exaggerated lines, once again demonstrating the Mexican talent for integrating art and architecture. In 2007, UNESCO added the university to the World Heritage List. 12:45-14:00 Enjoy lunch near the university campus 14:00-15:00 Return journey 15:00-17:00 National Museum of Anthropology (admission included, with a dedicated guide). Mexico's National Museum of Anthropology is the largest anthropology museum in Central America, housing tens of thousands of artifacts from Indigenous civilizations. Renowned for its outstanding architecture and exhibits showcasing ancient Indigenous civilizations, the museum is one of Mexico City's major tourist attractions. Our Chinese-speaking guide will introduce you to important collections from Indigenous, Maya, and Aztec civilizations. 18:00 At the end of the tour, we'll take you back to Galeria Plaza Reforma Hotel. *Tour times are for reference only.
