Itinerary details
07:00-08:30 Your guide will meet you at your hotel or pickup point and take you to Chichén Itzá 11:30-13:30 Chichén Itzá is a vast pre-Columbian Maya archaeological site. In 2007, it was named one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World,” alongside historic landmarks such as the Great Wall of China and the Colosseum. Although the city has suffered damage from time and looters, many beautiful stone buildings remain. The most famous is the magnificent “Pyramid of Kukulcán,” which towers over the city center. Other renowned structures, including the “Great Ball Court,” the “Temple of the Warriors,” and the “El Caracol Observatory,” are sure to inspire admiration for the ingenuity of the ancient Maya civilization. Chichén Itzá is known around the world and has been included on “must-visit destinations” lists by media outlets in many countries. It attracts millions of visitors from around the world every year. 13:30-14:15 Mexican-style buffet lunch 14:15-15:00 After lunch, visit Ik Kil Cenote, a natural sinkhole known as the “Sacred Cenote.” This cenote was a private bathing place for ancient Maya kings and queens, and a cavern where jade offerings were made to the rain god. Tropical vines cover the clear, emerald-green water, making this a wonderful spot for photos. You can try an exhilarating high-dive or splash around with the little fish in the pool for a cool and enjoyable afternoon. Swimming in the cenote is optional. 15:00 Depart for Suytun Cenote 16:00 Arrive at Suytun Cenote and admire its natural stalactite formations. Standing in the middle of the cavern beneath a shaft of sunlight feels like standing center stage in nature’s theater. The clear, emerald-green water makes it seem as though you have entered another world—so beautiful it takes your breath away. (Swimming is not included due to time constraints.) 16:45 Return journey 18:00 Arrive in Cancun *Tour times are for reference only.
