Itinerary details
Meet in Tromsø from various locations | Arrive in the Arctic Circle, City Walk & Fjellheisen Cable Car (optional, at your own expense) Make your own way by air to Tromsø, known as the “Paris of the Arctic.” Located within the Arctic Circle, it is one of the most important gateways to see the Northern Lights in northern Norway and the meeting point for this trip. After arrival, make your own way to the designated hotel in the city and check in. We will provide an Airport Express bus ticket from Tromsø Airport to the city (included) and send illustrated directions in advance to help you reach the hotel smoothly. If the weather and your arrival time allow, you can also make your own way to the Fjellheisen cable car station in Tromsø (at your own expense) and ride to the summit viewing platform for panoramic views of the city, fjords, snow-covered mountains, and islands. At dusk, during the blue hour, or after nightfall, the city lights up, revealing a completely different Arctic atmosphere. ⚠️International flights are not included in the tour price. Please wait until we confirm the tour is operating before booking your international flights. 🗺️Hotel check-in is usually available from 15:00–16:00. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage at the hotel front desk and explore central Tromsø at your leisure. We’ll provide an easy City Walk route to help you ease into your Arctic Circle trip on your first day: stroll along Storgata pedestrian street and through the harbor district, and visit Tromsø Cathedral and Tromsø Library to experience the city’s winter atmosphere.

Day 3
Tromsø – Senja Island
Itinerary details
Head for Senja Island | Travel Norway’s “miniature” along a scenic coastal highway After breakfast at the hotel, your Chinese-speaking guide will meet you in the lobby. Then we’ll drive away from the Northern Lights city and venture further into the wilderness—to Senja, a secret kept by Norwegians. Here, Norway’s most dramatic natural scenery is condensed into one place: jagged ridgelines, deep fjords, and a fairytale island floating on the sea. Our first stop is Husøy, the “House Island,” a visual gem on the Norwegian Scenic Route: a fishing village on a small island floating at the end of a fjord, home to only a few hundred residents. To withstand Atlantic hurricanes, the island’s densely packed colorful houses still use steel cables for anchoring. We’ll admire the island from Knuten Hill, where it appears to float in the fjord like a lone boat—a glimpse of the interplay between nature and human resilience within the Arctic Circle. Continuing along the scenic route, we’ll stop at Ersfjordstranda, the “Fjord Garden.” It is known as “Little Hawaii” for its fine white sand and the steep peaks surrounding it on three sides. Tungeneset viewpoint offers the best views of the Atlantic and the cliffs of the Devil’s Teeth (Okshornan). Its most striking features are the winding wooden boardwalk and dark rocky shore. As the tide recedes, pools left on the flat rocks become “mirrors of the sky,” reflecting the sharp ridgelines and sky—a landmark photography spot in the Arctic Circle. Bergsbotn Fjord Viewpoint is a 44-meter-long wooden platform perched high above the fjord. From here, you can enjoy uninterrupted 180-degree views of the shimmering Bergsfjorden and the mountains beyond. It is widely regarded as the island’s perfect viewfinder. In the evening, we’ll continue to the Harstad area for an overnight stay. Enjoy dinner at your leisure after arrival, then rest at the hotel and recharge for tomorrow’s journey to the Lofoten Islands.

Day 4
Senja Island - Lofoten Islands - Svolvær - Henningsvær
Itinerary details
Into Lofoten | E10 Scenic Route, Stay in a Picturesque Lofoten Fishing Village After breakfast, set off for the Lofoten Islands. Follow the E10 highway into the heart of Lofoten, where the scenery gradually shifts from inland mountains to classic island, fjord, bridge, and fishing-village landscapes. As you approach Lofoten, the mountains become sharper and the sea draws closer, with red fishermen’s cabins and snow-covered peaks appearing more and more often. Yes, you’ve finally arrived in Lofoten, where the scenery is almost unbelievably postcard-perfect. After entering Lofoten, make a short stop at the Austnesfjorden viewpoint. This is a classic first glimpse of Lofoten: highway, fjord, islets, snow-covered peaks, and a winding coastline come together in one view—perfect for your first “I’ve arrived in Lofoten” postcard photo. Arrive in Svolvær at noon for lunch at your leisure. This is not today’s destination, but a chance to restock and recharge before heading into the fishing villages. ⭐ Svolvær is one of the Lofoten Islands’ main towns, with a good selection of restaurants, supermarkets, and essential amenities. It offers a glimpse into the everyday life of local residents. Next, visit Henningsvær, known as the “Venice of the Arctic.” We’ll stop at Henningsvær Stadium, the football field perched at the tip of a rocky island. Wooden racks used to dry cod are scattered around the field, a distinctive feature of Nordic fishing villages. ⭐ Henningsvær comprises several small islands connected to the main island by bridges. Colorful wooden houses line the shores, and harbors are filled with fishing boats. The village is home to contemporary galleries, handicraft shops, and Nordic-style cafés, blending traditional fishing culture with a modern artistic atmosphere. Then check in to a five-star boutique hotel in Henningsvær, overlooking the fjord. Built right on the waterfront, the hotel opens onto the harbor and sea. From the windows, you can see fishing boats at anchor, clear waters, and the Lofoten mountain range stretching into the distance. We’ve arranged a two-night stay here for a good reason: this is not just a stopover—you’ll truly be staying in an artistic fishing village. ⭐ In the evening, take a stroll around the hotel. Watch the harbor lights come on, fishing cabins reflect on the water, and the distant mountains gradually fade into the night. Some of Lofoten’s finest moments are not at the sights, but on the village streets at dawn and dusk. If the weather and aurora conditions are favorable, an approximately two-hour “Northern Lights by Bus” tour will be arranged (subject to weather and the guide’s arrangements!). In Lofoten, the Northern Lights aren’t found only in the wilderness; they often appear above fishing villages, harbors, snow-covered mountains, and the sea.

Day 5
Lofoten Islands - Ramberg White Sand Beach - Hamnøy Fishing Village - Sakrisøy Yellow Houses - Reine - Å - Henningsvær
Itinerary details
Lofoten’s Southern Highlights | A Day Among Norway’s Postcard Views After breakfast at the hotel, set off south along the coastal road and explore the region’s classic island scenery. Snow-capped mountains, fishing-village harbours, white-sand beaches, red fishermen’s cabins and yellow houses appear in quick succession throughout the day. Many people’s impression of Lofoten comes from these very scenes. That may be unfair, but scenery doesn’t have to play by the rules. First, visit Ramberg White Beach, the most charming crescent-shaped white-sand beach along the E10. Known as the “Maldives of the Arctic Circle,” its crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine quartz sand create a striking contrast against the towering mountains. On sunny days, the beach feels open and bright; under overcast skies, it takes on a more dramatic, rugged character. Then head to the classic fishing villages of southern Lofoten: - Visit the “Lonely Planet” postcard viewpoint: Hamnøy is one of Lofoten’s most photogenic fishing villages. Its red wooden rorbuer cabins are clustered on the rocks, while the sharply rugged peak of Festhelltinden and the fjord form the backdrop—a scene that has become an iconic image of Lofoten for many travellers. - The Sakrisøy Yellow House stands out among the red fishermen’s cabins typical of the area. Built beside the water, this yellow wooden house is especially striking against the deep-blue fjord, snow-capped mountains and rocks, adding a bright splash of colour to Lofoten’s classic postcard scenes. - Next, visit Reine, one of the most distinctive fishing-village areas in southern Lofoten. Snow-capped mountains, fjords, islands and red cabins come together here to create a classic Arctic coastal scene. We’ll stop at a suitable spot in Reine or the surrounding area to admire the village panorama, harbour cabins, cod-drying racks and fjord mountains. If weather and road conditions allow, we’ll continue to Å, at the southern tip of Moskenesøya. This is where the E10 ends in Lofoten, and a representative village with traditional fishing architecture, cod-drying racks and a rich fishing history. When “Å” appears on the road sign—the Norwegian word for “river”—you’ll know you’ve reached the boundary between civilisation and wilderness. Return to the hotel in the evening. After exploring the south, head back to Henningsvær.

⭐Tromsø Fjellheisen Cable Car Ticket
For a bird’s-eye view of Tromsø, Fjellheisen is one of the most iconic choices. Take the cable car for about 5 minutes to the summit of Storsteinen, approximately 421 meters above sea level, and enjoy views over Tromsøya, the fjords, the bridge, and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. In winter, we especially recommend visiting at dusk, during the blue hour, or after dark, when the city lights, snowy mountains, and bays take on a completely different character. On clear nights, you may even see the Northern Lights from the summit.
Important information:
Round-trip ticket: €60 per adult, €30 per child. A specific date and time must be selected.
The cable car usually operates from 09:00 to 00:00, with departures approximately every 30 minutes.
Strong winds and severe weather may cause temporary service suspensions. Check operating status on the day before setting out.
Take bus 26 from the city center to the “Fjellheisen” stop; a taxi from the city center takes about 10 minutes; walking takes about 45 minutes.
⭐Tromsø: Northern Lights Chase by Bus
Meet at a designated location in central Tromsø in the evening and set off with your guide. Based on the weather, cloud cover, and Northern Lights forecast that night, the guide will choose a camp with favorable conditions, where you can wait for the aurora in a natural setting far from city light pollution. Camps are located among the fjords, along the coast, or in the mountains, and have a heated lounge and restrooms. While you wait for the Northern Lights, you’ll be served a light meal of hot soup, hot drinks, and Norwegian specialties.
If the weather or cloud cover changes during the viewing period, we will adjust the plan promptly, leave the camp, and continue chasing the Northern Lights by bus to areas with a better chance of seeing them.
Important information:
Activity fee: €115 per adult, €85 per child.
The activity lasts approximately 5–7 hours, with no more than 45 people per group.
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon. Visibility depends on factors such as weather, cloud cover, and aurora activity, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Free thermal coveralls are available for the activity, but it can still be very cold outdoors at night in the Arctic. We recommend wearing plenty of warm clothing, non-slip winter boots, a hat, gloves, a scarf, and thick socks.
Meet at a designated location in central Tromsø. The exact meeting time, location, and activity duration will be stated in the final confirmation.
⭐Tromsø: Winter Fjord Whale-Watching Tour (bookable only through January 31)
Every autumn and winter, herring migrate through the fjords of northern Norway, drawing huge whales that gather to feed and rest. Departing from Tromsø aboard an eco-friendly catamaran, this tour ventures deep into the Arctic fjords for close encounters with wild orcas, humpback whales, and other marine giants. Along the way, take in the breathtaking scenery of the Lyngen Alps, Arctic fjords, and twilight skies during the polar night.
Travel on a professional high-speed sightseeing catamaran for a quicker arrival at the whales’ prime feeding grounds, giving you more time for whale watching than on a regular boat. Multiple open-air viewing decks offer unobstructed views of the whales and Arctic scenery. The spacious, warm indoor cabin features panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable seats, and temperature-controlled heating. There is also a licensed café selling hot soup, snacks, and hot and cold drinks, with free coffee and tea.
Our expert whale-watching guide will explain whale migration patterns, behavior, and the local Arctic ecosystem along the way, making this more than a visually stunning sightseeing trip—it’s also an opportunity to learn.
Important information:
Activity fee: €215 per adult and €105 per child from December 13, 2026 to January 4, 2027.
The operating season is usually October 23, 2026–January 31, 2027. Regular-day prices are €185 per adult and €95 per child.
The tour takes approximately 7–8 hours. It usually departs at 8:30 and returns to Tromsø at around 16:30.
Best whale-watching season: From late October to mid-January, whales follow the herring into the fjords. This is the peak season, with the highest chance of sightings.
Whale sightings cannot be guaranteed. Based on past experience, the chances of seeing whales are high, but there is a very small possibility that none will be seen. The guide will do their best.
Common whale species: mainly orcas and humpback whales, with occasional sightings of fin whales, minke whales, harbor porpoises, and others
We recommend dressing in warm layers and bringing a windproof, waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, and insulated winter boots. The indoor cabin is well heated, but dress warmly for whale watching on deck.
Lunch is not included, so please bring your own. The onboard café sells light meals and snacks.
Catamarans are relatively stable, but weather and sea conditions in Arctic waters can change quickly. If you are prone to seasickness, we still recommend taking medication beforehand.
⭐Tromsø: Fjord Cruise and Sea Fishing Tour
Board a classic boat and depart from Tromsø harbor to explore the surrounding fjords. Admire the Arctic coastline, snow-covered mountains, and islands while experiencing the local fishing culture, passed down through generations. The boat will stop at a suitable traditional fishing ground, where the crew will show you how to try deep-sea fishing. You may also spot white-tailed eagles and other Arctic seabirds. Hot drinks, snacks, and freshly made fish soup are served on board, so you can enjoy a warm meal in the chilly fjords. The activity lasts about 5 hours and is easy; no fishing experience is needed.
Important information:
This activity runs throughout the winter. Price: €175 per adult, €165 per child.
What to wear: The activity provides one-piece insulated suits, but you should still wear several warm layers, a hat, gloves and insulated winter boots.
Weather and sea conditions in Arctic waters can change quickly. If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend bringing medication in advance. Wildlife sightings and actual catches are part of the natural experience and cannot be guaranteed; the guide will do their best.
⭐Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise (bookable only in February)
Set off from central Tromsø aboard a modern, eco-friendly catamaran to explore the archipelago and fjords of the north. During the approximately 3-hour cruise, admire magnificent snow-capped mountains, peaceful fishing villages, and landscapes unique to the Arctic. If you’re lucky, you may also spot wildlife such as sea eagles.
A friendly, professional local English-speaking guide will accompany you throughout the trip, explaining the landscapes along the way and sharing insights into the cultural history of northern Norway, Arctic wildlife behavior, and life in the polar regions. This fjord cruise is more than just a photo opportunity—it’s also a chance to learn.
The boat has a comfortable indoor cabin with panoramic windows and leather seats, as well as spacious open-air decks at the bow and on the roof for photography. Coffee and tea are provided free of charge, and a kiosk sells local snacks and hot food. The trip takes approximately 3–3.5 hours.
Important information:
Activity fee: €110 per adult, €55 per child.
The operating period is February 1–March 31, 2027, following the whale-watching season. The boat usually departs promptly at 11:00 and returns to the dock at approximately 14:30.
Sea conditions in Arctic waters can change quickly. If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend bringing and taking seasickness medication in advance.

Changes and cancellation policy
The tour will be confirmed between 65 and 30 days in advance;
Before the tour is confirmed, you may cancel for a full refund;
After the tour is confirmed, if you cancel for personal reasons, the following cancellation fees apply:
Cancellations made 32 days or more before the date of use incur a fee of 15% of the order amount;
Cancellations made within 32 days of the start of the tour incur a fee of 100% of the order amount.
Tour Information
(1) A minimum of 6 guests is required for this itinerary to operate. If the minimum group size is not reached, we will discuss rescheduling or cancellation with you.
(2) Please provide traveler information matching the passport (name, gender, nationality, date of birth, valid contact details within Europe, etc.) to avoid booking errors that may affect your trip. Travelers are responsible for any losses caused by incorrect information they provide.
(3) December through March is peak snow-season travel time in Northern Norway, and hotel availability in Tromsø and Lofoten is very limited. We will prioritize the hotels listed on the product page. If they are fully booked, accommodation will be arranged at a hotel of the same standard in the same area or a nearby town, subject to final confirmation.
(4) The price is calculated on the basis of 2 people sharing 1 room. In Henningsvær, a scenic suite is arranged for two nights. All room types at this hotel have one double bed, and twin rooms are not available. By booking together, two guests are deemed to understand and accept that they will share one double bed during this part of the stay.
(5) Northern Norway lies within the aurora zone, so there is a chance of seeing the Northern Lights during the trip. However, the aurora is a natural phenomenon affected by many factors, including cloud cover, weather and solar activity, and sightings cannot be guaranteed. The guide will do their utmost to help.
(6) Availability for optional winter activities is limited, and supplier inventory changes in real time. Popular dates such as Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year may sell out in advance, so we recommend booking as soon as your tour dates are confirmed. Add-on activity bookings close 14 days before the start of the itinerary. Bookings are subject to reconfirmation.
(7) As the travel destinations are the remote island of Senja and the Lofoten Islands, weather can change quickly, and strong winds, heavy snow, icy roads, road closures, poor visibility, and temporary attraction closures may occur. The guide will flexibly adjust the order of daily attractions, time spent at each stop, or alternative arrangements based on safety, road conditions, daylight, the group’s fitness, and the quality of the experience. In the event of severe weather or safety risks, the itinerary will prioritize passenger safety and key transport connections.
(8) Due to limited luggage compartment space in the group vehicle, each passenger may generally bring one standard-size suitcase (30 inches or smaller) and one small backpack or handbag on board from DAY3 to DAY6. Excess, oversized, or special luggage must be declared in advance at the time of booking.
(9) Local vehicle and driver services must strictly comply with Norwegian and EU regulations on driving hours, working hours, rest periods, and road safety. Daily departure and finish times may be adjusted accordingly. If the driver has to work overtime due to a passenger’s personal reasons, itinerary additions at short notice, exceeding the agreed service hours, or other special requests, the passenger is responsible for the additional overtime charges, which will be settled separately.
(10) Hotels in Norway do not usually advertise their star ratings, as local emphasis is on the actual quality and service experience rather than star classifications. Therefore, the city hotels described in this itinerary are rated for reference according to the four- to five-star review standards on Booking.com.
(11) Standard rooms in European hotels are generally compact. Rooms may have one double bed or two single beds. You may state your bed preference when booking, and we will note it with the hotel in advance and do our best to coordinate; however, bed type depends on the hotel's availability and allocation on the day and cannot be guaranteed.
(12) During peak travel seasons or other special circumstances, the departure time may be brought forward or delayed slightly (the exact time will be as notified by staff). Please prepare in advance and thank you for your understanding.
(13) Visa and flight advisory: This product involves a Schengen visa. Guests are advised to prepare and submit genuine, complete application documents 60 days or more before departure. Visa supporting documents can be provided. Please purchase international and domestic flights only after receiving confirmation that the tour will run. If you would like advice on flight connections, send us your proposed flights for review before booking.
