Luxor - Karnak Temple - Hurghada (Red Sea)
Itinerary details
Recommended optional activity: Wake up early to take a hot air balloon ride (at your own expense). From the balloon, enjoy an aerial view of Luxor, the world’s largest open-air museum. If you’re lucky, you may see Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Valley of the Kings, along with beautiful desert oases and fields and magnificent scenery after sunrise, where yellow and green meet—the yellow desert and green farmland. Morning: Visit the world’s largest temple complex, 【Karnak Temple】 (approximately 60 minutes inside). The complex was dedicated to the tombs of successive pharaohs, and its carefully planned layout is breathtaking! The temple became famous as a filming location for the renowned movie Death on the Nile. Here, you can see the statue of Ramesses II in the famous Great Hypostyle Hall, as well as the small temple of the queen. 【Luxor Temple】 (exterior view). Located in the city center, Luxor Temple was once a small shrine used only for New Year celebrations. It was later expanded and renovated by Amenhotep III, Thutmose III, and Ramesses II, and used as a place of worship for Amun-Ra, the goddess Mut, and the god Khonsu. It is therefore also known as “the southern sanctuary of Amun.” Afternoon: Transfer to your hotel in Hurghada on the 【Red Sea】 and check in (approximately 4 hours by car). No vehicle or guide is included during your free time, allowing you to fully enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the Red Sea’s distinctive blue waters and skies. City introduction: 【Red Sea】The beaches of the Red Sea are a magnificent gift of nature. Beneath the clear blue waters grow colorful corals and rare marine life. In the distance, layered mountain ranges extend along the coast, with broad plains between them that are ideal for camping. These extraordinary natural landscapes, together with a climate that is pleasant in both summer and winter, create a stunning panorama that makes visitors feel immersed in paradise. Stroll along the seabed, surrounded by brilliant corals, while silvery schools of fish dart past and mysterious shipwrecks lie nearby… The Red Sea region has an exceptional ecological environment and marine resources, making it one of the world’s renowned diving paradises.

Cairo - Giza Pyramids - Grand Egyptian Museum - Khan el-Khalili Bazaar - Cairo
Itinerary details
Lunch: Visit the [Giza Pyramid Complex], hailed as the tallest ancient structures still standing and the foremost of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World (approximately 90 minutes). The [Great Pyramid of Khufu] is the oldest and only surviving structure among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Also visit the [Pyramid of Khafre] and the [Pyramid of Menkaure]. (Please note: If you wish to enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu to see the sarcophagus, you must purchase a ticket separately for the Great Pyramid or a smaller pyramid. Daily visitor numbers are limited.) Next, visit the famous [Great Sphinx] beside the pyramids (approximately 30 minutes). This renowned Egyptian monument, together with the pyramids, is among the most representative relics of ancient Egyptian civilization. The ancient Egyptians often used the lion to represent the pharaoh, symbolizing his boundless authority and immense power. The belief that the pharaoh was both god and man led to the creation of the sphinx, a composite figure with a lion’s body and a human head. Afternoon: Visit the world-renowned [Grand Egyptian Museum] (approximately 180 minutes inside). Facing the pyramids, this modern architectural marvel engages in a dialogue across time with the ancient pyramids when viewed from the Giza Plateau, earning it the nickname “the Fourth Pyramid.” The Grand Egyptian Museum is the world’s largest archaeological museum, with a collection of more than 100,000 artifacts and nearly 500,000 square meters of exhibition space. It displays a wealth of precious artifacts from Egypt’s prehistoric era through the Greco-Roman period. For the first time, more than 5,000 grave goods of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun are displayed together in their entirety, alongside many other artifacts, including the funerary solar boat of the pharaoh Khufu and a colossal statue of the pharaoh Ramesses II. Afterward: Visit the renowned [Khan el-Khalili Bazaar], one of Egypt’s most famous markets for Arab goods. Crowded with visitors, it has a history of 800 years and is a celebrated Arab trading center. If you get tired of browsing, stop for a drink at [El Fishawy Café], the favorite café of Nobel Prize laureate Naguib Mahfouz. This coffeehouse has a history of more than 200 years.

Power outlet information
Power outlets in Egypt are European-style two-pin round sockets. We recommend purchasing a universal travel adapter.
Meals
1. We recommend bringing some spicy foods such as chili sauce and pickled mustard greens. Local restaurants do not provide tea.
2. Most restaurants do not allow guests to bring their own alcoholic drinks, and drinks and beverages are not included in meal costs. If you wish to order them, please pay separately at the venue;
3. When dining at a buffet, please serve yourself courteously and do not waste food;
4. To avoid discomfort from unfamiliar food or stomach problems, please drink bottled water and avoid food sold by street vendors.
Accommodation
1. Hotels are generally locally rated five-star. As Egypt's level of economic development is far below China's, their standards are roughly equivalent to four-star hotels in China.
2. Hotels do not provide disposable items such as slippers, toothbrushes or toothpaste;
3. The AC voltage in major cities is 220 volts, and outlets use European-style round-pin plugs.
4. Tap water is not safe to drink. Hotels generally do not provide electric kettles. If you need hot water, bring your own kettle or ask a staff member to provide it (a tip of about US$1 per kettle is required).
During the trip
Important notes
1. Travel by road: Journeys between major cities are long, so we recommend bringing some snacks. Travelers prone to motion sickness should bring motion sickness medication.
2. Safety: Take good care of your valuables and documents, and keep your valuables with you at all times;
3. Transportation: Traffic in Cairo is quite congested, and traffic jams are common. Traffic conditions in other cities are generally good. Transportation from Aswan to Luxor and the Red Sea must be reported to the local transportation authorities in advance, and departures must be at a coordinated time. Please gather promptly.
Sightseeing
1. Egypt is a country with a long history. The main reason to visit is to experience its history and culture. Learning about local history and culture before departure will make your trip even more rewarding.
2. Attractions such as the Pyramids, the Valley of the Kings and the Red Sea have sandy terrain. For easier walking, we recommend that you avoid high heels;
3. At the Pyramids, many locals may ask you to ride a camel, take your photo, or pose for a photo with you, claiming it is free. Please do not believe them; afterward, they will demand hefty tips from tourists.
4. The guide may adjust the itinerary according to actual conditions without reducing the number of attractions. If weather, traffic jams, strikes or other force majeure events prevent visits to scheduled attractions, the travel agency may substitute attractions or refund the loss after your return, based on the ticket price.
Shopping
1. Local specialties: papyrus paintings, perfume oils, spices, glassware, copperware, crystals, cotton textiles, carpets, dates, and more.
2. Reference exchange rates: US$1 = EGP 49; RMB 1 = EGP 7
3. Currency in circulation: US dollars and Egyptian pounds. Some tourist shops accept international credit cards; RMB is not accepted.
4. Restrooms in Egypt charge 10–20 Egyptian pounds; please bring small change.
Tipping
1. Tipping is customary abroad, and paying tips is also a courtesy.
2. If you request additional service from staff at a hotel, restaurant or other venue, it is best to pay a tip, usually around US$1;
3. We recommend bringing small items such as medicated balm and pens, as locals often ask Chinese visitors for these items.
