Travel tips
Winter Tips for Iceland What to Wear (Warm, Rainproof, Windproof, Lightweight) Iceland’s climate is very different from what many people are used to. The weather is changeable due to its polar location, and storms are common in winter. When it’s windy and rainy, temperatures can suddenly drop to a few degrees below zero, so a down jacket is essential. When choosing clothes, prioritize warmth and make sure they are also windproof and rainproof. Iceland is windy throughout the year, so wear a hat and scarf to keep your head and neck warm. Gloves are also essential. Sunglasses or eyeglasses can help protect your eyes from the snow and strong winds. What to wear: First layer: A lightweight, warm base-layer set (top and bottoms). Quick-drying ski wear is also a good choice; Second layer: A fleece jacket and a lightweight down vest or jacket; Third layer: A down jacket, waterproof and windproof softshell or hardshell jacket, or ski suit. Choose layers that are easy to adjust. Bright colors also look great in photos. Shoes: If possible, bring mid- or high-cut hiking boots. They provide warmth, water resistance and traction, and protect your ankles. Swimsuit: You’ll need a swimsuit for the Blue Lagoon. Some hotels also have free public hot baths (similar to small hot springs), so be sure to bring one. Payment: You don’t need to carry much cash. In addition to money for optional activities, €100 per person is enough. Credit cards: We recommend bringing one. Most local shops, restaurants, convenience stores, public transport and taxis accept credit cards, as do public restrooms (if you have a credit card, you don’t need to carry Icelandic króna in cash).

Itinerary details
After breakfast, depart from the hotel for Iceland’s classic Golden Circle tour. Visit the Old Parliament Site, where the North American and Eurasian plates meet. In the wide-open Þingvellir National Park, you can stand on the geological boundary between two continents and discover the rich history of one of the world’s earliest parliaments. At the active geyser area, watch boiling water shoot skyward with a thunderous roar in a spectacular display of nature’s power. The magnificent Gullfoss plunges down from a height of 32 meters, with the rushing water refracting brilliant rainbows in the sunlight. Amid the drifting mist, you’ll feel as if you’re in a fairyland. Overnight at a hotel in a town in southern Iceland. Depending on the weather, we’ll let you know whether an aurora-chasing activity near the hotel is possible.
Important notes
The aurora is a natural astronomical phenomenon that occurs unpredictably, generally late at night in high-latitude regions. It is highly weather-dependent, so its appearance cannot be guaranteed.

Day 3
Southern Town - South Coast Scenery (Forest Waterfall, Pasture Waterfall) - Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach - Southern Town
Itinerary details
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a wonderful journey along Iceland’s spectacular southern coast, visiting two iconic waterfalls. The graceful Seljalandsfoss plunges from a 60-meter cliff, and you can walk behind the waterfall for a unique view. Then head to the magnificent Skógafoss, where rushing water tumbles from a height of 25 meters and often creates a brilliant rainbow in the sunlight. In the afternoon, arrive at the world-famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, where basalt columns and crashing waves create a surreal landscape, with black sand and white surf making a striking visual contrast. Stay overnight at a hotel in a town in southern Iceland. Depending on the weather, we’ll let you know about an aurora-chasing activity near the hotel.

Day 4
Southern Town - Glacier Lagoon - Southern Town
Itinerary details
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Vatnajökull National Park and visit Iceland’s famous glacier lagoon, Jökulsárlón. Its clear, deep-blue water is dotted with enormous icebergs in all shapes and sizes. Then cross to the other side of the lagoon to visit Diamond Beach, where crystal-clear ice floes gleam like jewel-encrusted diamonds in the sunlight. Depending on the weather and schedule, you can also join an optional Blue Ice Cave Adventure (available only from November to March). Departing from Jökulsárlón, travel by Super Jeep to the edge of the glacier and explore Vatnajökull, one of Europe’s largest glaciers. Discover the mysterious ice-blue world beneath the ancient ice cap and experience the unique, dreamlike beauty of an Icelandic winter. Afterward, return to your hotel in a town in Iceland. Blue ice caves are rare natural phenomena formed by nature. They can only be seen when winter temperatures fall below freezing and the water beneath the ice freezes. Caves with different features form in different locations each year. Depending on conditions and safety, we will select one natural ice cave to visit during the tour. *The location of the Blue Ice Cave Adventure is subject to reconfirmation

Important Information for Tour Participants
To protect your interests as fully as possible, please read our “Booking Information and Terms of Liability” carefully. This document contains important information for tour members traveling abroad and, together with our “Overseas Travel Safety Information and Other Important Notes,” forms part of the travel contract. Our company reserves all rights to interpret the content of this website.
(1) Polar Circle Tour Notes
1. Regarding meals
To offer competitive prices, we stay in cabins equipped with full kitchen facilities. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are not included in the tour price. There is a supermarket near the cabins where you can buy ingredients and enjoy cooking. Hotels and restaurants near the camp also serve meals, so you can visit them and try the local cuisine. Some optional activities also include snacks or meals; see the activity descriptions for details.
2. Regarding accommodation
3–8-person log cabin (long-distance route)
The cabin includes: tableware, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, stove, microwave, oven, toaster, electric kettle, dryer, TV, wireless radio, CD player, fireplace, and firewood. It has a small loft and a standard double room.
Dishwasher: Please open the water inlet valve; otherwise, the dishwasher will not work.
Water heater: The water heater for bathing can heat up to 200 liters of bathwater at a time. Please be careful not to use all the heated water at once, or others will have to wait at least 1 hour to bathe.
3. Other important information and frequently asked questions
We recommend bringing the following items on your trip:
Very warm clothing
Very warm shoes, gloves, hat, etc.
Cash in small denominations and essential medical supplies/medication
Bank cards, credit cards, etc.
Toiletries and other personal items needed for the overnight train
A high-quality camera for photographing the Northern Lights
Is it cold inside the Arctic Circle?
Based on feedback from our guests, the perceived temperature in the Arctic Circle feels less cold than the theoretical temperature suggests. As there are often calm, windless conditions, once you get moving, it feels similar to Beijing at the same time of year.
Does it ever not snow inside the Arctic Circle?
All our Arctic Circle tour destinations are at least 250 km north of the Arctic Circle. This is because higher latitudes increase the likelihood of seeing the Northern Lights and finding snow. However, we cannot guarantee the weather conditions when you visit the Arctic Circle. Heavy snow usually arrives within the Arctic Circle in early November each year. If there is not enough snow to operate certain activities, we will offer an alternative or issue a full refund for the affected activity.
Are there no daylight hours during the polar night in winter inside the Arctic Circle?
In the Arctic Circle region, the sun rises between 9 and 10 a.m. and sets before 3 or 4 p.m. There are about 6 hours of daylight. It looks like a perfectly normal daytime scene!
Can you guarantee that we’ll see the Northern Lights?
In northernmost Lapland, the Northern Lights can be seen almost every night, provided it is dark and the sky is clear. In the Saariselkä area, you can witness frequent aurora displays, although clouds may reduce visibility, just as bright summer nights affect how clearly they can be seen. On average, the Northern Lights can be seen on up to 200 nights a year in northernmost Lapland.
(2) Booking Process
Anyone booking through this website must carefully read all terms and conditions published on our company website, in the order confirmation, and in the pre-tour notice. By submitting an order, you confirm that you have read and fully agree to the terms and conditions published by our company. If any tour participant violates the rules stated in these terms, they are solely responsible for all resulting consequences.
1. When booking, first complete the booking form on the website. Please carefully fill in and check that all the information is correct, including names, gender, ID or passport numbers, contact details, room type required, and pickup and drop-off points. The company accepts no responsibility for any losses resulting from incorrect information entered by the customer. Once your submission is successful, we will send you an order confirmation. As seats on the tour bus are limited, we will prioritize tour-group arrangements according to when payment is received. After checking that all details are correct, please make payment within the order’s validity period. If the tour fee is not paid in full by the deadline, your booking will be considered automatically canceled, and we reserve the right to cancel your order without further notice.
2. Members must ensure that 100% of the tour fee is paid at least five working days before departure. As coach seats and hotel rooms are limited, and hotel room reservations are often subject to deadlines, members who book within five working days of departure must promptly complete payment. Otherwise, our agency reserves the right to hold or cancel such orders, depending on the circumstances, without obtaining the applicant’s prior consent. The payer is responsible for any fees incurred when paying the tour fee, regardless of the payment method. After payment, please send proof of payment (the transaction receipt for bank-counter remittances or a screenshot of the successful online transfer) to our company by email or fax. Be sure to note the relevant order number on the proof; otherwise, our finance department will be unable to match the payment to the order. If, due to late payment, the tour fee has still not reached us two days before the tour ends, our agency reserves the right to ask the member to provide the corresponding amount in cash as a deposit to the tour guide. If subsequent verification confirms a duplicate payment, our company will immediately refund the excess amount;
3. After our company confirms receipt of your payment, we will confirm your booking. Three days before departure, you will receive a tour confirmation notice at the email address provided when booking. It will contain information for reference, including the guide, itinerary, and pick-up and drop-off points. Due to network delays or spam filtering, you may not receive the notice three days before departure. If this happens, please contact the relevant staff for assistance.
4. Our company will arrange hotel room types according to the requirements provided by tour members at the time of booking. In exceptional circumstances, such as during peak travel seasons when a hotel has insufficient rooms or for other reasons beyond our control, room types may change, and tour members must cooperate with our arrangements. If the room arrangements on arrival do not meet a tour member’s requirements because they provided an incorrect gender or room preference when booking, our agency will coordinate arrangements according to room availability at the hotel on the day of check-in. Any additional costs incurred will be borne by the tour member.
5. If a tour member needs to leave the group before the end of the tour due to special circumstances, they must notify us when booking or before joining the tour and sign a “Declaration of Early Departure.” For each night of accommodation not used after leaving early, €16 will be deducted. If no hotel night is missed, there will be no reduction in the tour price. If a tour member requests to leave the group during the tour, they must inform the guide and sign a “Declaration of Early Departure”; fees paid are non-refundable. When booking and during the itinerary, tour members must provide accurate information about their health and identity, complete all relevant information truthfully, and fulfill all legal formalities. Tour members are responsible for any costs and losses resulting from personal circumstances, such as feeling unwell during the trip. Travelers with a significant medical history (for example, a serious or terminal illness, or a communicable disease) must disclose this truthfully when booking. Our company reserves the right to refuse a booking based on a traveler’s health or other circumstances.
6. Participants aged over 70 must be accompanied by a family member and complete the Tour Participation Statement. If they insist on joining without a family member, our company reserves the right to refuse them, depending on the circumstances. Participants are responsible for all consequences arising during the trip from their own actions;
7. Pregnant participants must disclose their pregnancy when registering. In principle, participation is not recommended for those more than 24 weeks pregnant. Those who insist on joining must be accompanied by a family member and complete the Liability Waiver; however, our company reserves the right to refuse them, depending on the circumstances. Those under 24 weeks pregnant who insist on joining must be accompanied by a family member and complete the Tour Participation Statement; however, our company reserves the right to refuse them, depending on the circumstances. Participants are responsible for all consequences during the trip arising from their own actions.
8. Minors joining the tour must be accompanied by at least one adult who is responsible for their supervision and safety. Tour members are responsible for all consequences during the trip arising from a minor's own actions or the accompanying adult's failure to provide proper supervision.
9. Tour members must ensure that all information provided for tour registration is accurate, especially personal identification details and contact telephone numbers. Tour members shall bear any resulting consequences of providing incorrect information (for example, being unable to cross a border because personal identification documents have expired or the visa type does not meet the destination country's entry requirements, or a tour guide and other relevant staff being unable to contact a participant because the mobile number provided is incorrect). Any resulting personal return, transportation, travel, or other costs shall be borne by the participant.
9. Applicants are strongly advised not to book any flights or other tickets related to the tour itinerary before their tour booking is confirmed. If a participant books flights or other tickets related to the itinerary at their own discretion but is ultimately unable to join the tour, the applicant shall bear all resulting losses.

The above circumstances must be communicated in writing; otherwise, they will be treated as voluntary forfeiture, and our company will bear no responsibility.
(5) Tour Member Obligations
1. Group members must not engage in illegal activities during the tour.
2. Members must not infringe on the interests of the state, society, or collective, or the lawful rights and interests of others when exercising their rights.
3. Observe public order and respect social norms. Tour members should respect the dignity of tourism service staff and show mutual respect and cooperation with other group members; respect local ethnic customs and traditions; and refrain from carving or writing on scenic features or buildings, spitting, littering, or other uncivilized behavior.
4. Make an effort to learn what you need to know for your trip and improve your awareness of personal safety. Tour members may choose and purchase personal accident travel insurance and other insurance themselves. During the trip, take good care of your luggage and belongings; keep valuables with you or take other measures to protect them.
5. When traveling, check the local weather and take care to keep children safe.
6. If a tour member voluntarily takes part in hazardous activities included in a regular tour itinerary, including rock climbing, mountaineering, rafting, diving, or bungee jumping, any resulting disputes, property loss, or personal injury shall be the individual's responsibility and shall not involve our company's liability.
(5) Liability
1. The company reserves the right to change accommodation, travel routes, sightseeing attractions, and departure dates as necessary depending on the circumstances.
2. If there are too few participants, or changes occur beyond our company’s control, such as problems with a ship or aircraft, our company reserves the right to change or cancel the itinerary. If the itinerary is canceled, our company will refund all fees paid by members or recommend a similar alternative product. Our company shall not be liable for canceling any itinerary.
3. In the event of civil unrest, terrorist activity, a major infectious disease outbreak, natural disaster, calamity, disturbance, murder, riot, war, or any other disaster beyond our control that could seriously endanger members’ personal safety, as well as unexpected circumstances such as weather, traffic, or strikes, our company reserves the right to cancel or replace any tour activity before or after departure, and to shorten or extend the trip, but must notify members in advance. Our company shall not be responsible for any resulting additional expenses or losses, and members may not object or withdraw on these grounds.
4. As public safety conditions vary from country to country, tour members should take care of their personal safety and observe traffic safety rules, and keep their belongings and luggage secure. If anything is lost, stolen, or robbed during the trip, notify the tour leader and report it to the police promptly. Our company accepts no legal liability.
5. Tour members must carry a valid passport and other identification at all times. If a tour member has to leave the tour early because of an issue with their identification or passport, they are responsible for this, and the remaining tour fees will not be refunded. If this disrupts the itinerary of other tour members, they must pay appropriate compensation.
6. If a tour member suffers personal injury or death, or incurs property loss due to an accident during the trip (such as an accident while taking part in recreational or game activities, or illness, death, a fall, or an injury resulting from personal activities, or a tour member's violation of the terms and rules stated in our company's agreement and notices), the tour member shall bear all related liability and costs. Our company accepts no responsibility for such injury, death, or property loss. The tour member shall compensate our company for any resulting losses.

Actual arrival times may be delayed for various reasons beyond our control, such as weather, traffic jams, traffic accidents, holiday events, unrest, or strikes. Thank you for your understanding. If tour members need to take other transportation to another city for onward travel, we strongly recommend allowing at least 3 hours of spare time to avoid inconvenience caused by itinerary delays. Our company accepts no responsibility for losses resulting from tour members not allowing enough spare time when making their own onward travel arrangements.

Overseas Travel Safety Guidelines and Other Important Information
To protect your interests as fully as possible, please read our “Overseas Travel Safety Information and Other Important Notes” carefully. This document contains important information for tour members traveling abroad and, together with our “Booking Information and Terms of Liability,” forms part of the travel contract.
(1) Helpful Tips
1. Most European attractions offer student discounts. Students are advised to bring their student cards.
2. European countries use different plug standards (for example, plugs in Italy and Switzerland differ from those used in Germany). Please bring the appropriate plug adapters if needed.
3. For safety reasons, European coach regulations require all children to occupy a seat, regardless of age. As most coaches do not have extra child safety seats, parents traveling with children under three may bring their own. However, each child safety seat occupies one coach seat, and we cannot guarantee that all personal safety seats will be suitable for tour coaches. Please take note.
(2) Safety Information
Clothing
1. The weather in Europe is changeable. Please be sure to bring rain gear and a warm coat.
2. Please take good care of your belongings and luggage. Our company accepts no responsibility for loss or theft.
3. Clearly write your name and contact details on your luggage for identification and to facilitate its return if it is found after being lost. If your luggage is lost, notify the relevant organizations (such as the hotel or airline) and the police as soon as possible. If it cannot ultimately be recovered, keep the police report so you can file a claim with the relevant organization or insurance company (if you have insurance).
Food
1. The tour guide will do their best to help group members who need it arrange Chinese group meals. If the number of diners is too low for a group meal, or Chinese food cannot be arranged due to holidays, business hours, or other reasons (such as there being no Chinese restaurant in a small town), the guide will do their best to help arrange fast food, Western food, or meals at a supermarket or the accommodation hotel. If meals arranged due to the itinerary cannot meet the preferences of every group member, we appreciate your understanding. We recommend bringing bottled water and snacks in case of need.
2. Do not drink unclean water or eat unhygienic food or food that smells unusual or has spoiled. When visiting areas with poor sanitation, choose cooked food and packaged drinks.
3. Do not accept or consume cigarettes, food, or drinks offered by strangers.
4. To prevent discomfort from unfamiliar food or water during your trip, bring any medicines you commonly use. Travelers with chronic conditions should carry their medical records in case they are needed. Do not take medicines provided by others without careful consideration.
5. Our agency does not provide or arrange alcoholic drinks. Tour members who choose to drink should strictly limit their alcohol consumption during the trip. Anyone responsible for drunken disturbances, disrupting public order, violating the rights of others, or causing property loss to a third party will bear all resulting liability.
Accommodation
1. Hotel facilities:
① European cities are relatively small, and centrally located hotels are very limited in number and size. Their facilities may be older and not up to the standard of comparable hotels in China.
② European hotels do not provide everyday toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers or kettles. Please bring your own.
③ For trade fairs or other large-scale events, our company reserves the right to select the hotel’s star rating.
④ If you book a hotel through our company in a city that is not scheduled for an overnight stay on the itinerary, our company reserves the right to select the hotel’s star rating.
2. Hotel meals:
① European hotel rooms do not provide hot drinking water.
② Hotel dining differs somewhat from China. Breakfast is relatively simple (German breakfasts are more substantial, while Italian breakfasts are the simplest, consisting only of bread and coffee). Lunch and dinner are not especially plentiful either, and their quantity and quality fall well short of what you may be used to at home.
3. Hotel room type:
① Triple rooms have one double bed and one single bed and are only available to a guardian traveling with one child under 14. Under European law, three adults may not book a triple room.
② For individual travelers, we arrange room sharing (two people in a twin room). If there is a solo male or female traveler, we will try to pair them with another traveler of the same gender or arrange an extra bed. If couples need to stay in separate rooms, please cooperate. Guests who end up in a single room after the final room allocation must pay the single-room supplement in advance. We will do our best to arrange room sharing; if a roommate is found before departure, the full single-room supplement will be refunded.
4. Hotel safety information:
① Please take proper care of your valuables and do not leave them in your hotel room. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash or expensive watches and jewelry. Keep your travel documents and belongings safe, and carry a photocopy of your travel documents and credit cards as supporting documents in case they are lost and need to be replaced.
② Please take good care of your belongings and luggage. We accept no responsibility for loss or theft.
③ Please do not smoke in your hotel room. Any hotel fines incurred as a result will be paid by the person responsible.
④ After checking into your hotel, read the hotel’s safety information, check whether the room windows can be opened and where the firefighting equipment is located, and familiarize yourself with the emergency exits, emergency stairs, and evacuation routes.
⑤ Check that all the amenities provided in your hotel room are present and undamaged. If anything is missing or damaged, report it immediately to hotel staff or your guide.
⑥ Do not casually tell strangers the name of your hotel or room, and do not let strangers or anyone claiming to be hotel maintenance staff enter your room. Lock the door whenever you enter or leave. Before going to sleep, check that the door and windows are closed and the security lock is engaged. Keep your belongings close to you and away from the windows.
⑦ If you need to leave the hotel after checking in, tell your tour guide and get a hotel card from the front desk. It will show the hotel’s address and phone number, which you can use to ask for help if you get lost.
Trip
1. Boarding and alighting:
① All tour participants must assemble on time for departure. Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes early. Our tour buses will not wait. Anyone who fails to assemble at the agreed time and place, or join the tour en route, will be considered to have forfeited the tour, and no refund will be given.
② The boarding and drop-off times shown on the website are estimates. The exact boarding and drop-off locations are subject to our confirmation. (If traffic or other unforeseen circumstances prevent our bus from arriving at the boarding point on time, or the time changes at short notice, we will notify you promptly. Please wait patiently.)
③ Coaches are divided into three types: large coaches, minibuses, and 9-seat vans. Large coaches generally have dedicated luggage compartments, while minibuses and 9-seat vans have relatively limited luggage space. As luggage-compartment space is limited, we recommend bringing as little luggage as possible.
④ To prevent overcrowding near attractions, coach parking areas in most European cities are some distance from the attractions, and drivers are not allowed to stop wherever they please. Violations are subject to heavy fines. The drop-off and pick-up points may therefore be some distance from the attractions. We appreciate your understanding.
2. Safety tips for traveling by bus:
① Smoking is prohibited in the vehicle.
② Please do not bring prohibited items.
③ Please do not handle any items in the vehicle without permission, to avoid unnecessary damage.
④ While the coach is temporarily parked, follow your guide’s instructions and do not wander off.
⑤ When getting off the coach to visit attractions, dine, or shop, please make sure the windows are closed and keep your valuables with you. The travel agency accepts no responsibility for items that are lost or stolen.
⑥ As the journey is long and the vehicle is heavily loaded, a breakdown may affect the itinerary. If this happens, the travel agency will promptly take remedial action. We ask all tour members to cooperate.
(3) Other Information and Notes
1. Please comply with local laws and regulations.
2. Be sure to carry your relevant documents and a valid passport with you.
3. During group activities, follow the tour leader’s/guide’s instructions and avoid leaving the group for your own safety.
4. Before taking part in any higher-risk activity, assess your health and abilities, and follow the relevant safety instructions, such as wearing a life jacket, fastening a seat belt, and wearing suitable or required clothing. Tour members are strongly advised not to take part in these activities during free time on the trip. If you choose to participate, you do so at your own risk.
5. Do not take part in entertainment activities that may be illegal.
6. Pay attention to and heed all warnings, such as not wandering around or feeding animals in wildlife parks.
7. Take extra care when visiting areas with poor public security, and avoid going out alone.
