Itinerary details
Departure: We’ll pick you up from your hotel in downtown Cairo and drive to Alexandria, a seaside city on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast (approximately 2.5 hours). Morning: Visit 【Pompey’s Pillar】 (approximately 30 minutes inside). The pillar takes its name from the ancient Roman general Pompey (106–48 BC), who fled to Egypt after being defeated by Julius Caesar and was killed by the Egyptians. His ashes were kept in an urn atop the pillar. The monument consists of a base, shaft, and capital, stands approximately 26 meters tall, and weighs around 500 tons. Its shaft is cylindrical. Visit 【Bibliotheca Alexandrina】 (approximately 45 minutes inside), also known as the Ancient Library of Alexandria, once the largest library in the world. It was built in the 3rd century BC by Ptolemy I, king of Egypt’s Ptolemaic dynasty, and was later destroyed in a devastating fire. Rebuilt near its original site in 2002, the new Bibliotheca Alexandrina is one of the main libraries and cultural centers on the Mediterranean coast. It commemorates the ancient library and represents an effort to revive scholarship and culture. (Note: If the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is closed on Friday or another public holiday, the visit will be replaced with a visit to the Alexandria National Museum.) Afternoon: Visit the [site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria] (approximately 30 minutes). The lighthouse stood over 100 meters tall and used a light to guide sailors. It influenced the design of minarets in the later Arab world and inspired many imitations at ports around the Mediterranean. It was the world's tallest man-made structure after the Pyramids of Giza and was listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. [Qaitbay Citadel] (approximately 30 minutes), built on the site of the original Lighthouse of Alexandria, is a rectangular Arab-style fortress and one of Alexandria's landmarks. A statue of a sea god stands at its top. The citadel's buildings now house a mosque and a museum, and offer magnificent views of the city and the Mediterranean. Afternoon: Continue to Matrouh, a popular seaside resort (approximately 3.5 hours). On arrival, enjoy the hotel’s many complimentary facilities. About the city: 【Matrouh】A small port city on the Mediterranean coast in northwestern Egypt, Matrouh has retained its peaceful, unspoiled character, with little trace of commercial tourism. It’s home to a stunning, jelly-clear sea and mysterious caves! Don’t miss it~

Itinerary details
After breakfast, begin exploring Matrouh and soak up its Mediterranean resort atmosphere. 【Ageeba Beach】 (approximately 2 hours) features clear water, soft sand, and a spectacular coastline, making it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. You can swim, dive, snorkel, fish, and enjoy other water activities, or take a walk, sunbathe, or picnic on the beach. 【Sea Eye】 (approximately 30 minutes). This is a great spot for photos. Its main feature is a cave-like rock by the sea, where the deep-blue water and the rock create a unique natural landscape. 【Cleopatra Beach】 (approximately 2 hours) has captivating blue water and unusually shaped reefs along the shore, adding to its distinctive scenery and making it a great place for photos. When taking pictures in Matrouh, there’s no need to pose—just do whatever makes you comfortable and happy. Whether you’re sitting and admiring the sea, enjoying the sun and sand, or running freely along the beach, a quick snap on your phone is all you need for a great shot. The beautiful scenery makes the perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos. Then drive to the shores of Siwa Lake to watch the sunset. In this Sahara Desert oasis, enjoy a peaceful sunset by the lake beneath the date palms.

Day 3
Siwa
Itinerary details
Morning: Visit Shali Fortress, a fort built in the 13th century. Although now abandoned, it truly makes you feel as if you are inside a maze. It was also a filming location for Assassin’s Creed Origins and the hometown of the protagonist, Bayek. [Mountain of the Dead] (exterior view). Opposite Shali Fortress is the Mountain of the Dead, where a pharaoh’s temple stands. It is called the “Mountain of the Dead” because it was an important place in the beliefs of the ancient Egyptians. Visit the Temple of Amun, an ancient Egyptian sacred site dedicated to the important sun god Amun-Ra. This temple was not only a religious center but also a symbol of rule and power. Throughout history, many leaders who conquered Egypt came here to seek oracles, including the famous Alexander the Great. Visit Cleopatra’s Spring. Legend has it that when Cleopatra visited Siwa, she bathed and steamed in this natural hot spring pool built of stone, which made the spring famous. Visit Siwa Salt Lake, known as the “Dead Sea of Egypt.” The lakes of all sizes have crystal-clear blue-green water, and the shores are lined with snow-white salt formations. The salt concentration is as high as 95%. Swimmers can take spectacular photos here, and even if you can’t swim, there’s no need to worry—you can enjoy floating here too. Note: The salt lake has a high salt content. If you plan to go in the water, bring your own towel and bottled water to rinse off afterward. Noon: After visiting the salt lake, return to the hotel to rest. Lunch is at your own expense. Afternoon: Switch to a 4WD off-road vehicle for a Sahara Desert adventure: dune bashing + fossil hunting + sandboarding + tea by the fire in the desert + desert sunset + dinner at a desert camp + stargazing in the desert. [Dune bashing]: Climbing and plunging down steep dunes—isn’t that something only an off-road vehicle with a V8 engine can do? Siwa’s fine sand is soft and warm, so be sure to experience it barefoot! 【Desert Tea by the Fire】The tea brewed with local tea leaves and mint is dark in color. Locals like to add plenty of sugar, giving it a cool, sweet taste. 【Desert Sunset】Watching the sun slowly set over the Sahara Desert, as described by Sanmao, is a sight that will stay with you for a lifetime! 【Desert Camp Dinner】The grand finale is dinner at the camp. Enjoy food cooked using traditional methods by candlelight, including desert-roasted chicken prepared the way locals have made it for generations—a truly distinctive experience. 【Desert Starry Sky】With no light pollution, every star is clearly visible—you may even see the Milky Way. Share a moment of happiness beneath the starry sky of the Sahara Desert.
