A journey to the sublime! Set out from Paris in the morning and arrive in the heart of Provence, Avignon, in the evening. This region is wonderfully diverse, with countless charms: lively cities, winding mountains and experiences that change with the seasons. Leave behind the fashions of the big cities and explore the character of southern France’s small towns. Discover the region’s natural beauty and culture, its history and present-day life, and enjoy a different kind of European journey. We’ll introduce you to the romance of southern France, the solitude of the hilltop village of Gordes, Van Gogh’s story in Arles, the rich flavors of Bordeaux wine, and the shopping paradise of the Principality of Andorra* (seasonal). Note: From March to September, travelers joining this itinerary must hold a double- or multiple-entry Schengen visa for the Andorra segment.

Day 2
Avignon - Gordes - Sénanque Abbey - Avignon
Itinerary details
A pilgrimage to sacred sites! A must-see is the Papal Palace and the Pont Saint-Bénézet (Avignon Bridge). In the 14th century, with the support of the French king, the papacy moved its seat here, and Avignon duly became the second seat of the papacy. In the afternoon, visit Gordes, the much-loved setting of A Year in Provence, also known as the Stone Village. Called a “perched village,” it is also known as the “Village in the Sky” because it seems to hang in the sky. This medieval hilltop town was built from dry-stacked limestone. After the visit, head to Sénanque Abbey, stopping briefly at the “Lavender Museum” along the way. Sénanque Abbey is the birthplace of the Catholic Cistercian Order and the setting of A Year in Provence, as well as a landmark attraction in Provence. (Special note: Lavender is seasonal and grows naturally, usually from July to early August. As flowering depends on the weather, growing conditions, and harvest schedule, we cannot guarantee it!)

Avignon - Arles - Barcelona
Itinerary details
In the footsteps of the master painter! The small town of Arles is famed as a place associated with the gifted painter Van Gogh, known for both Impressionism and Expressionism. It was already an important city in Roman times, and many Roman remains worth visiting can still be found right in the city center, such as the Roman amphitheater and ancient Roman theatre... Although Van Gogh lived at the asylum here for only a short time (1888–89), that year marked the peak of his creativity. He also created such classics here as “The Langlois Bridge at Arles with Women Washing” and “Café Terrace at Night.” We’ll follow in Van Gogh’s footsteps and travel back in time to the very places where the master painted and found his subjects, giving you the chance to visit and take photos! Afterward, head for Barcelona, Spain’s coastal city. If time permits, you can join an optional excursion to Olympic Beach after arrival.

Highlights include the Columbus Monument and La Rambla, followed by a visit to the Sagrada Família, the extraordinary masterpiece by the architectural genius Gaudí, known as the “poet of architecture.” Then visit the exterior of Camp Nou for photos and souvenir shopping. Continue to the Olympic venue on Montjuïc Hill, where the 1992 Olympic Games were held. The hill also offers panoramic views of the city. Spend the remaining time at the lively Plaça de Catalunya at your leisure, then return to the hotel after dinner. *During peak season, crowd control and long queues at the Sagrada Família are common. A shopper’s paradise and a place of pilgrimage! Visit the Principality of Andorra, a tiny country on the border between France and Spain, nestled in the Pyrenees and surrounded by rugged mountains. This little-known country among many Asian travelers is blessed with beautiful scenery and is a popular ski resort for Europeans. Its tax-free shopping also makes it a paradise for bargain hunters. In the afternoon, travel along the Pyrenees into France and head toward the beautiful pilgrimage town of Lourdes. It is said that the Virgin Mary appeared here 150 years ago, and countless miraculous healings have taken place since. More than five million pilgrims visit Lourdes each year.
Important notes

Castles galore! Visit the world-famous Loire Valley, a renowned tourist destination. The Loire River is known as the mother river of France and stretches for 1,020 kilometers. Along both banks of the valley lie the world-famous châteaux of the Loire, with magnificent, splendid castles everywhere you look. 3) All of the above must be confirmed in writing; otherwise, they will be deemed automatically forfeited, and the company accepts no responsibility.
2. Liability:
1. Our company acts only as an agent for services arranged by airlines, hotels, transportation providers, or other travel organizations. We shall have no connection with, and accept no responsibility for, any property loss, accidental death, or additional expenses incurred by participants or guests on the itineraries or brochures as a result of natural or man-made disasters, mechanical failures, traffic delays, fires, strikes, war, political unrest, circumstances beyond our control, or changes to government regulations.
2. The organizations operating the sightseeing transport and hotels used by our company, such as aircraft, ships, trains and buses, each have different rules concerning passenger safety, lost luggage and other matters. Any cases involving lost luggage, accidental injury or death, or property loss will be resolved according to the rules established by the relevant organizations. They are entirely unrelated to our company, which bears no responsibility whatsoever.
3. In exceptional circumstances, such as severe weather, strikes, typhoons, lost documents, hotels unexpectedly announcing that they are fully booked, cancellation or delay of the scheduled flight, political upheaval, epidemics, or any other unforeseen event beyond our control, it may be necessary to change or cancel any part of the itinerary, accommodation, or transportation. Our company reserves the right to make decisions at its sole discretion based on the circumstances at the time. In such cases, participants may not object or claim compensation. Participants are responsible for any resulting losses or additional costs.
4. All tour participants must comply with the laws of each country. Carrying goods for illegal resale or prohibited items is strictly forbidden. Entry and exit regulations are set by each individual country. If you are denied entry to any country for personal reasons, our company will bear no responsibility. No refund will be given for the remainder of the tour, and you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred, such as transportation and accommodation. These costs are unrelated to our company.
5. In the event of theft at any time or place resulting in the loss of money or belongings, the company, driver, tour leader and tour guide accept no responsibility. Participants are responsible for looking after their own valuables, documents and other belongings.
6. If a participant is late for any reason or under any circumstances and misses the flight or bus departure, the Company accepts no responsibility and will not refund any fees.
7. As the bus model may not be suitable for transporting wheelchairs, we regret that we cannot accept bookings from wheelchair users. (Note: For a “Private Tour”, please notify us before requesting a quote.)
8. Our company reserves the right to publish images of participants, and we may take photos and videos of activities during the trip.
9. Important: If, during the trip, travellers accidentally or deliberately damage the tour bus or any facilities within the hotel premises, they will bear full responsibility and must compensate for all related losses. Serious damage may also result in criminal liability under local law. We ask all travellers to take care of public property and enjoy their trip!
3. Important Information for Tour Participants:
1. As luggage compartment space on tour buses is limited, each passenger may bring only one large and one small piece of luggage on board (the large item must not exceed 30 kg or 158 cm in total dimensions). Passengers bringing more than one large and one small item (if there is sufficient room in the luggage compartment) will be charged €5 per additional item per day for the driver’s handling fee (£5 per item on UK tours). We appreciate your understanding.
2. European travel differs from travel in other parts of the world. Most attractions cannot be reached directly by tour bus and must be visited on foot. Travelers with limited mobility may have to wait on the bus at some attractions and may be unable to join the group visit. No compensation or refund may be requested for attractions missed for this reason. Please take note and consider this carefully before booking. Once your booking is confirmed, you are deemed to have accepted these terms.
3. The driver and tour leader work hard throughout the journey to serve all participants, explain the attractions and provide assistance. Please show your appreciation by tipping them before the end of the tour. In keeping with European custom, our company requires each participant to give the driver and tour leader a minimum combined tip of 10 euros / 10 pounds per day.
4. Please present this tour voucher to board at the meeting point. The tour will not wait for late arrivals, and the tour fee will not be refunded. Our company accepts no responsibility. In the event of an emergency, please call the emergency number.
5. Participants are responsible for obtaining and carrying valid travel documents (passport) and visas. These must be valid for at least six months from the departure date. If entry is refused by immigration or customs for any reason, our company accepts no responsibility. Participants are responsible for all resulting losses, and tour fees will not be refunded.
6. Please avoid bringing valuables and expensive jewellery where possible. Keep valuables and travel documents with you and take care of them yourself. The Company, driver and tour leader accept no responsibility for any loss.
7. All tour participants must abide by the laws of each country. Carrying goods for illegal resale or any prohibited items is strictly forbidden. Smoking is prohibited in all public places and indoor premises in Europe, including hotel rooms. Fines may be as high as €1,000, so please comply with local laws. In recent years, visitors have been prohibited from sitting on the ground to rest or eat at some famous European buildings and attractions. This is not only considered disrespectful, but may also result in immediate prosecution.
8. Meals and admission tickets during the itinerary are at your own expense. Please refer to the Spending Guide to estimate costs and bring an adequate amount of local currency for use during the trip. Please bring your own medication if needed.
9. If participants wish to travel independently, return separately or leave the tour partway through for any reason, the Company will assist with arrangements. However, the Company will not be responsible for any direct or indirect costs or losses relating to transport, accommodation or other delays that result in participants missing pre-arranged itinerary items.
10. If any tour participant deliberately obstructs the tour leader’s work, endangers the personal safety of others, or disrupts the normal activities or interests of the group, the tour leader may, depending on the circumstances or with the approval of the majority of participants, cancel that person’s right to continue on the tour and require them to leave the group. No refund will be given for the uncompleted portion of the trip, and the company accepts no responsibility for the participant’s actions after leaving the group.
11. If a flight or bus departure is delayed due to a breakdown or traffic congestion, and the itinerary must be changed or activities canceled, participants may not object or withdraw on these grounds. If bad weather, strikes, or unforeseen accidents cause itinerary delays, participants may not claim compensation or a refund of the tour fee on these grounds.
12. The itinerary is for reference only. The company will make appropriate arrangements and adjustments to the sightseeing schedule and accommodation based on actual circumstances. Activities may also be canceled if attractions are closed for holidays or local festivals. Tour members are expected to accept such changes and may not object.
13. If people who do not know each other share a room, including when the arrangement is made by our company, the participants’ character and conduct are not the company’s responsibility. We will not intervene in any disputes that may arise.
14. The operators of the sightseeing transport and hotels used by our company, such as airlines, shipping companies, railways, and bus operators, each have their own regulations concerning participant safety, lost luggage, and other matters. Cases involving lost luggage, accidental injury or death, and property damage will be handled according to the regulations established by the relevant operators, and are not the company’s responsibility.
15. We recommend that participants take out their own travel accident and luggage insurance. For information about insurance arrangements, please contact the travel agency where you booked or enquire directly with our company.
16. As not all bus models are equipped to carry wheelchairs, we regret that we cannot accept bookings from wheelchair users on group tours. (Note: For private tours, please notify us before requesting a quote.)
17. Temperatures in Europe vary considerably between day and night. The average temperature exceeds 30°C for no more than two months each year, and European countries place a strong emphasis on environmental protection. As a result, some hotels in Europe do not have air conditioning. This does not mean that the hotel facilities are below standard. We appreciate your understanding.
18. Our company has the right to publish images of participants, and we may take photographs and videos during the tour. If you do not wish to appear in them, please avoid the camera.
19. If the number of tour participants is small, we reserve the right to combine guests speaking different languages on the same tour bus.
20. As other tour participants may be allergic to pets and some hotels do not allow pets, pets are not permitted on the tour. Please make arrangements for your pet in advance. Thank you for your understanding.
