Kuala Lumpur
Itinerary details
Depart from the hotel. Please gather promptly in the hotel lobby and board according to the license plate number (we recommend gathering 10 minutes in advance). Kuala Lumpur highlights: Batu Caves with rainbow steps, National Palace, National Art Gallery, Merdeka Square, River of Life, Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, Jamek Mosque, Kwai Chai Hong, Central Market, Kuala Lumpur Hsueh Shih Temple Pioneers Museum (admission included), Petronas Twin Towers, Saloma Link Bridge, Jalan Alor Night Market Batu Caves with Rainbow Steps An iconic Hindu holy site in Kuala Lumpur, featuring 272 macaron-colored rainbow steps leading up to a vast natural limestone cave, with a towering gilded statue at the entrance. Hindu statues and temples are scattered throughout the cave. The natural karst landscape and rich religious heritage come together at this landmark, offering a glimpse of Malaysia's multicultural spirit of religious tolerance. National Palace The Malaysian royal family's residence. The building features pure white walls and gilded domes, with tropical gardens surrounding European-style carved arcades. Its architecture is elegant and grand. We will stop at the viewing area outside the palace to admire the distinctive architectural character of Southeast Asian royalty. National Art Gallery A temple of Malaysian art, with a vast collection of local and international works, including oil paintings, sculptures, batik, and folk art. The exhibits bring together the creative styles of Malay, Indigenous, Chinese, and Indian communities. Stroll through the galleries as if leafing through a beautifully illustrated guide to the aesthetics of the Nanyang region, and immerse yourself in Southeast Asia's distinctive artistic charm. Merdeka Square A landmark of the Malaysian spirit, where the country's declaration of independence was officially read in 1957. The square features one of Southeast Asia's tallest flagpoles, with the red-and-white flag waving in the breeze. Opposite stands the historic Sultan Abdul Samad Building, whose red-brick clock tower and Moorish domes are classic Kuala Lumpur icons. The square's spacious lawns are a popular place for locals to relax and stroll. Three-in-one visit: River of Life, Old Railway Station, and Jamek Mosque The River of Life is named for the confluence of three rivers. Its lush green banks are tied to stories about Kuala Lumpur's origins. The century-old railway station recreates a striking Moorish architectural style, with carved arched windows and elegant domed corridors. Nearby, the red-brick Jamek Mosque is serene and dignified. Together, these three sights offer an up-close look at the unique interplay between Malay-Islamic civilization and the city's waterways. Hsueh Shih Temple Pioneers Museum (admission included) Kuala Lumpur's first century-old Chinese temple and an important heritage site commemorating the footsteps of early Chinese settlers in Nanyang. The museum preserves old photographs, historic trade tools, religious artifacts, and archival records of pioneering settlement. Each item tells the story of Chinese people who traveled to Nanyang to make a living and helped build the city. Central Market + Kwai Chai Hong A paradise for art lovers! Central Market is filled with Nanyang-style handicrafts, including handmade batik fabrics, Peranakan silver jewelry, distinctive wood carvings, and hand-painted postcards. Next door, Kwai Chai Hong is lined with trendy, retro graffiti murals blending cartoon imagery, Nanyang folk traditions, and nostalgic Chinese elements. The vivid, story-filled colors make every snapshot a picture-perfect keepsake. Petronas Twin Towers: An icon of Kuala Lumpur, these 88-story, 452-meter twin skyscrapers are linked by an elevated skybridge. Their modern steel structure and mirrored glass make a grand impression by day, while their lights sparkle after dark. Below, streams flow through KLCC Park amid tropical flowers and plants. Take a stroll and enjoy the modern romance of this bustling city. Saloma Link Glass Bridge: Enjoy a fully transparent elevated observation walkway with 360° panoramic views over Kuala Lumpur’s entire skyline. Take in the buildings, lakes, and distant mountains, and on clear evenings, catch the city bathed in the beautiful colors of the sunset. Jalan Alor Night Market: Red lanterns hang all along the street, with open-air tables and chairs lining the road. Local diners and visitors from around the world fill the lively scene, with the aromas of street food all around. The street is packed with Malaysian specialties and tropical juices of every kind. Dinner is not included, leaving you plenty of free time to choose your favorite local snacks and experience the vibrant everyday life of Kuala Lumpur. ***Specially recommended: Special offer on Kuala Lumpur photoshoots at three landmarks (Merdeka Square, Kwai Chai Hong, and the Petronas Twin Towers) A professional photographer will take your photos at designated spots using professional equipment | All photos professionally retouched Capture a collection of classic Kuala Lumpur travel photos in one trip Book when you sign up. Day 3
Kuala Lumpur - Malacca
Itinerary details
Depart from the hotel. Please gather promptly in the hotel lobby and board according to the license plate number (we recommend gathering 10 minutes in advance). Putrajaya highlights: Seri Wawasan Bridge, Pink Mosque (interior visit), Prime Minister’s Office, and Putrajaya Square Pink Mosque (interior visit available) A landmark at the heart of Putrajaya, the entire building is constructed from softly hued pale pink stone. Its dome and covered walkways reflect in the clear lake, making it appear from afar like a sacred sanctuary floating on the water. Visitors entering the mosque must wear appropriate, modest clothing. Inside, exquisite stained-glass windows and an intricately carved dome are breathtaking. Take a quiet moment to appreciate the distinctive peace and serenity of Islamic culture. Seri Wawasan Bridge, Prime Minister’s Office, and Putrajaya Square The elegantly simple Seri Wawasan Bridge curves around the lake, offering sweeping views of Putrajaya Lake. The symmetrical, pristine white Prime Minister’s Office showcases the beauty of modern Islamic architecture. The spacious lakeside square has well-kept lawns, where locals often picnic and stroll. Take a leisurely walk around the lake, where pink-and-white domes blend with azure waters for a soothing, restorative view. Malacca sightseeing: Dutch Square (Red Square) + Portuguese fortress and gate + St. Paul’s Church; traditional Malay kampung raised house; a fun ride in a decorated trishaw (one per 2 people; please tip the driver 4 Malaysian ringgit per trishaw at your own expense); Jonker Street; mural street; Melaka Straits Mosque Dutch Square One of Southeast Asia’s best-preserved collections of Dutch colonial buildings, with vintage red-brick walls and ivory-white carved window frames. A century-old Victoria fountain stands in the center of the square. More than 300 years of colonial history are captured in these iconic vintage red walls, making this a must-visit landmark in Malacca. Portuguese Old Gate and Fortress + St. Paul’s Church Ruins The old city gate, now reduced to a stone arch, is a remnant of a European-style fortress from Southeast Asia’s past. Its stone walls bear the marks of time. Climb the steps to St. Paul’s Church on the hill for sweeping views of Malacca’s old town and the strait. The ruins against the blue sea and sky create an evocative atmosphere steeped in history. Melaka Straits Mosque Built on a reef in the strait, the mosque appears to float on the water at high tide. Its pure white dome contrasts with the clear turquoise sea, while at dusk the sunset spreads across the water and the glow envelops the entire mosque. It is a popular coastal viewpoint in Melaka (sunset views are subject to weather and tidal conditions). *Please gather 10 minutes before departure *For the trishaw, guests are responsible for paying the rider a tip of MYR 4 per trishaw. Complimentary: Try on traditional attire and explore Melaka + cendol dessert *Visitors may enter the mosque, but female visitors must borrow a robe from the right-hand side of the entrance before entering. (Opening hours are subject to on-site conditions; we apologize for any inconvenience.)
