Alhambra – Granada
Spain’s most iconic Islamic palace, where Moorish art blends with natural landscapes, earning it the nickname “Palace in the Sky.” The exquisite reliefs of the Nasrid Palaces, the symmetrical beauty of the Court of the Lions, and the tranquil poetry of the Generalife Gardens make it a jewel of the World Heritage List.
Generalife Gardens – Granada
Once a royal summer retreat, this palace features elegant gardens with pools, fountains, and pergolas, showcasing the aesthetics and tranquil philosophy of Muslim garden design.
Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba
This magnificent religious building combines Islamic and Christian styles and symbolizes the blending of religions in Spain. Its endless rows of horseshoe arches and grand central nave create a breathtaking spatial experience.
Jewish Quarter of Córdoba
A maze of narrow, whitewashed lanes dotted with synagogues, flower-filled courtyards, and cultural museums—an essential area for experiencing Córdoba’s multicultural heritage.
Seville Cathedral and the Giralda Tower
One of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world, it houses Christopher Columbus’s tomb. Climb the Giralda Tower for panoramic views of the city. Originally the minaret of a mosque, the tower was later incorporated into the cathedral, symbolizing religious change and the meeting of histories.
The Royal Alcázar of Seville
Built by the Moors, this palace remains the Spanish royal family’s residence in Seville. Its courtyards, Islamic and Mudéjar architecture, and colorful tilework are a delight to explore. It has also served as a filming location for productions such as Game of Thrones.
Plaza de España – Seville
A landmark building dating back to 1929, arranged in a semicircle and decorated with ceramic tiles depicting Spain’s provinces. It’s a perfect place for photos and a relaxing stroll.
